Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default He' s Gone?

Some pretty thin skin here. On the abortion threads, any slightest speck of moderation usually resulted in bible verses and sermons. Same with death penalty debates, gay debates, Catholic priest debates, and Episcopalian Bishop debates. Some were so insulting, that I stopped coming to the boards for awhile. I always believed I was brought up in a Christian home, but it certainly wasn' t " Christian enough" for some of the folks on this board. Now a REAL fundamental dude comes around, and ruffles some feathers big time. For SOME people on this board, everything you accused the watchman of, I have felt towards you. See, everything is in degrees. I am more religious than some; some are more religious than me; the watchman (thinks) he is more religious than you (as you thought about me). See? You were sure, when lecturing me; he was sure when lecturing you. Keep that in mind, when you rule the roost here again. I mean no ill will, just trying to point out that for some of us, it was amusing to see a few get a " taste of their own medicine" . Someone remarked that the watchman has a poor way of getting converts, and his brand of Christianity turns people away...... I can' t count the times I thought that about posters on this board, long before the watchman arrived. Not slinging mud - just pointing out my perceptions. I' ll get in my trench now, and await the bombardments

Some on here remind me of a guy I used to drive with - everyone going slower than him was an idiot; everyone going faster than him was a jerk.....

Maybe so but did you come on here calling the other posters murdering, lying, cheating, theives because they shared a different point of view than you did?

I didn' t

Did you attack certain women here with quotes from the bible claiming that just because she is a woman that she is somehow unworthy of conversation?

I didn' t

I don' t remember any one acting like this in any of the abortion, death penalty, etc... debates that I took part in. They sometimes get fairly heated but everyone here can pretty much refrain from personal attacks like those posted by this guy. Very few of us actually know each other personally and this crap crossed way over the line. Had he been in front of me talking to my wife like that he might be eating through a straw right now.

I don' t remember anyone ever doing this either! This person came here to stir the pot and get people riled up. He was not who he claimed to be,I would think that from his posts you' d see that.

Muskrat, if you saw things like your post stated you must have the thinnest skin of all on this forum.

He might have been doing what he thought was right, but for a christian to say the things to Charlie and F4YG' s and others on here is not practicing what he is preaching. IMO the guy has a problem and needs our prayers or he was a complete fake and just trying to stir some bad blood from times past.

The exasperating thing about watchman is that he is so utterly convinced that he was right, he could not. or would not see other people' s points of view....

I was speaking about his general demeanour and philosophies - not his personal attacks

Thanks to some, for seeing my point For the rest, welcome back to your ivory tower - watchman is gone, but the seat should still be warm....

Strut - thinskinned I may be, but I chose not to visit... never went complaining to mods or admin

Precisely why I found him interesting. He is in all of us to some degree.

The fires of heated debate can be very revealing.
