Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

If there is one thing that will be remembered about this week on the good old hunting net...It will be hntngirls response to whats-his-name.

" Bite Me!!"

Those two words will be forever more engrained in my mind whenever I see a post by, or think about the watch man.

VC...Next time you write a story about the huntingnet saloon...You gotta remember that line.

**Blush**LOL! Dave, I usually try to keep a sense of humor about most things. And even most butt-heads can be funny sometimes. But that guy was over the line. Not even my own husband tells me to be silent! Well, he might have tried once or twice, but he knows better now![:-]

I' ve been thinking about revisiting the saloon again, but writing requires that I coil up my mind...sort of draining in a way. I' m sure you can relate to that.

Huntngirl would surely be a cast member in the next episode for a variety of good reasons.

This board is peppered with interesting people and its is hard to write a story without omitting someone that I favor or find interesting.

I find watchman interesting just as I found Brad Rules interesting. Intellectual and/or moral villans are harder to come by, ya know.

I find message boards in general to be a sort of phenomenal in the literal sense of the word. A way of communication that is both hamstrung and propelled by the format and logistics. A purity of communications that is bolstered by the supposed anonimity of the medium. Age, education, status, occupation, wealth, and qualifications are all leveled in a very interesting way.....not unlike hunting when you think about it.

Very revealing stuff.

Hi vc1111,

I agree with you about the phenomena.....it tends to remove inhibitions that might otherwise occur during social interactions. But it also closely resembles another recent phenomena in society. In that a person " standing in front of you" might be more inclined to act in a more pleasant manner....you place that same person behind the steering wheel of a two ton motor vehicle and watch them become.....SUPERMAN! (Road rage) It is amazing how " emboldening" it can be when a person believes themselves to be " protected" or " shielded" from the results of their " bad behavior/manners" .

And lest I be accused of stating that to be the case about Watchman....I am not. He may have truly been " convicted by his beliefs" and would exibit exactly the same type of behavior in a face to face encounter. But I have seen many a Dr. Jekyl become Mr. Hyde when " protected" within their supposed anonymity or enshrouded within a steel cocoon.

And once again I never met Bill personally, so I am not specifically referring to him. But I think it speaks to the character of a person if they are not willing to be the " same person...in person" as they are when shielded, (be it by the internet, an automobile, within a crowd, etc.).

I hope that if in the future I have the pleasure of meeting the most of you....that within a few minutes you will feel like you already know me!

It' s amazing the message that can be sent with such few words.....

However, had no one replied to him he' d just go away.......Replying feeds the ego and there was plenty of it there........If he don' t get any reply, he goes on elsewhere.
