Did any one see the special about the crisis in education on fox?

I feel they did a great job pointing out what I have seen for years in this
business. The corrupt Unions were brought to light. The liberal self esteem
above every thing view, was brought to light. The lack of parental/student
responsibility was brought to light. And the focus on education for the
masses above higher learning (my biggest gripe) was brought to light.


I loved it. As an educator, these are the problems I have seen for years. I
feel fox did a good job.[:-]

Only on Fox...at least one network has the balls to tell it like it is.

My girlfriend is a math education major in her Soph. year, and she' s just started he first education class. A project she has to do involves researching a controversial education related topic for a group presentation. She came over last night and asked me to help her think of some potential topics...

Needless to say, he prof. probably isn' t going to like my more conservative ideas about education, as from what my girlfriend says the class is pretty much a seething pit of liberalism. The sad thing is that I' m really worried that she might get a poor grade simply because she presents a contradictory anti-liberal viewpoint. But, I think I' ll give her my ideas and let her research and find out for herself. She' ll make a great teacher someday, I think.
