It is the female of the species that decides when intercourse will occur.

The male of the species can only launch the quest.

I find that interesting and somehow ironic.

I think you could include all animals, not just humans. I can not recollect any female, including insects, that do not dictate when breeding begins.

I kinda' think we are lucky---at least female humans have a psychological and emotional aspect to sex, whereby they initiate intercourse for pleasure as well as procreation.

I believe we are very lucky in that regards! Now if my wife would only buy into the " it gives me more energy" or " it increases my intellectual appetite" type jargons, life would be super-sweet

Watchman, Paul was speaking to the Corinthians concerning matters that they had written to him about. While I believe that a woman should never withhold sex from her husband for extended periods of time, out of spite, to manipulate him, etc., I also don' t think that Paul meant to imply that she had to give it up 12 times/day if her husband wanted it, or during the occasional times that she really isn' t in the mood.
