Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

- Are the nine clowns running for the democrat party REALLY the best that they(democrats) can do?

- The american economy is showing absolute signs of recovery. The terrorists want to ruin our economy. There can never be an accounting for how much Sept.11 cost this country...But we all know it was a bunch...If I were a terrorist, and was watching this country and wanting to strike when it would do the most economical damage...That time would be between now and Christmass.

-While it would probably be cool to live in Texas for awhile...I most assuredly would not want to live in Wisconsin.

-Writing a book is much harder than you think.

-There are several deposits of sweet coal and oil here in the United States...Deposits that are so large that it is projected that it would take a very very long time to use it all. There are many who advocate using it and severing ties to the rest of the world so that we can become energy " independant" ...I say...Use up everyone elses stuff first, then we will be the only one' s left with oil and coal.[8D]

- Who was the first person to let a bunch of cabbage sit in a pot untill it was rotten and stinky, then say " Hmmmm, I think I' ll spread that on a sausage and eat it" (Sauerkraut)

-I heard today on the news that there was some great new program set up as a fund to give the families of service members who are killed in Iraq and Afganistan double the amount currently paid by SGLI. How about we ALL get together and chip in a little to a fund that gives the ALIVE members of the service a bonus for doing what they do.

One eye, I either read or heard somewhere that during World war two, the Germans found a way to extrapulate the " good stuff" or " juice" from coal and make it work in an internal combustion engine. That was more than FIFTY years ago...Surely the technology is around to make use of that very same coal in an auto today.

I will admit though, I understand the mindset of; If it ain' t broke,,,Don' t fix it. While the technology is there to make it work, it' s probably cost prohibitive to actually do it.

I think the nine clowns are just the comic relief until the DNC springs the Tragedy of " Billary" on us.
Texas is only " cool" during the occasional Blue Norther that hits them, Wisconsin is always cool, I remember as a kid wearing a jacket to watch 4th of July fireworks and snow on the 29th of May.
Directions to Texas: Walk west until you smell it then South until you step in it!

I was up hunting a few weeks ago outside of the flattops wilderness area and went to town for gas. There was a little house off of the corner of the gas station and this guy walks over to me and asks if I can help them out for a minute getting a " furnace" out of there truck. I walked over and was looking at it and asked if it was a wood furnace. Nope, it was a coal furnace. I never even knew they still made those things. The guy works at a coal mine and gets coal for next to cheap. That would be nice.

I feel that is the idea. I just hope we dont send all our money overseas and then have alternative fuels take over, leaving us with reserves of worthless oil. I would not mind spending the money we are now for U.S. oil. I feel this would keep the money in America and would insure American jobs. My brother is a tool pusher and a driller. He tells me that we could punch deep wells in Texas right now, if the cost per barrel would stay as it is. Its the constant pull and tug of OPEC that keeps Americans from punching wells. The companies dont want to punch deep holes, to have OPEC flood the market, causing the American companies to belly up. This happened in the 80s.

I would be all for this. Im just afraid that you would have people like the ACLU fighting to have it dispersed to all who have lost some one and not just the military families. [:' (]
