Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default I' m speechless...I really am (PETA)

http://www.news8austin.com/content/y...372&ArID=83167

There' s a nice Austin area called Tarrytown, which has a little shopping complex with a TX French bread, a bridal shop, shoe store, and a Holiday House, which has become a favorite place to eat with people living in the area. There are also some other business.

The shopping center has a new owner, a woman who is a member of PETA. She has thus declared that NONE the shopping center' s tenants will sell " meat or animal products."

The Texas French Bread has closed (eggs in the bread, you know..). The shoe store, of course, as well as the optical shop (you know, those leather eyeglass cases). And of course the Holiday House is leaving soon.

Most incredible, though, is the bridal shop. The bridal shop started having a problem with ants, and the owner was instructed to NOT kill them; that would be cruel. Instead, she was ordered to " relocate" them. So the bridal shop is closing, too.

Your knee-jerk reaction to this stuff is probably pretty negative. But hey, I' m thinking maybe this is a good thing. By doing things like this and making themselves look like complete idiots, PETA damages their credibility even more, and they end up being seen as lunatics by more and more people besides just hunters.

I agree 100%. They have truly established themselves as fringe radicals that are not to be taken seriously!

Nothing like a good PETA story to give me a nice laugh. Since this lady owns the complex, she has the right to impose the rules she wants to. I have a hard time believing that she will be able to rent any spaces after this though, hence, she won' t own it for long. I personally don' t know of any business on this planet that in some fasion doesn' t harm animals in some abstract way.

Hopefully they will all find new locations and leave the idiot with a bunch of empty buildings.

If I was the girl with the bridal shop, I would relocate those ants straight to the idiot' s house.

I agree that stuff like this can only work in our favor. Who would want to support such silliness?

I agree ith you Johnny, this is a good thing. And it just shows how insane some of those lunatics can get. Let the new owner protect her Ants, and the shopping mall, she wont be owning it for very long.

It takes a lot to render a Texan SPEECHLESS. However that would do it. I am inclined to agree with the others. Her business will be shortlived.

This peta freak is free to do with her money as she pleases. If losing it by running off buisness is her goal, more power to her. I agree, she is making a very loud statement on the mind set of PETA freaks. Let her keep showing her intelligence.

A PETA person in Texas??? Man, I won' t even go there without stashing my left-leaning views in the closet.

I don' t know what they do to moderates down there, but I' ve heard stories.[][]

I can' t imagine the life expectancy of a PETA-freak can be too awfully long.
