Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Only Indian casino' s in Kansas?

So far in Kansas all the casino' s are " owned" by Indians.
Now some other than indian folks are wanting to open up some casino' s.
The Indians say they will sue if others are given a license to have gambling because it is an " Indian Right" . What BS!

IMO they should shut them all down.
It hasn' t helped the Indian economy and they still git a monthly check from Uncle Sam.

I frequent an Indian (Mescalero Apache) casino in New Mexico and have been scalped there more than a few times....but it is a well run casino and the customers get good treatment. (Yeah, I know why) Anyway, the way I understand it, it isn' t a " right" of the Indians, it is the fact that on the reservations, they are not under the same state and federal laws concerning casinos.

Absolutely correct. As a matter of fact, indian reservations are considered to be a " foreign nation" .

I don' t know why anyone goes to the reservation casino' s. I' ve never done anything but get scalped. My wife and I have been to Tunica 3 times this year and we are about $5,000 to the good.

Same way in Wisconsin. I was up in Crandon about 2 years ago (northern wisconsin) - you would not believe the free revenue that comes out of these things. Every indian gets a check. I sat in a bar in Crandon and across the street was the chippewa reservation - each family had a 3 acre plot of land with a 3 bedroom brick ranch, saw tons of 4X4 trucks, snowmobiles, swamp buggies etc.

don' t buy this " poverty" crap.

BTW: in the past the poverty came from the intervention of the federal government in the form of the bureau of indian affairs. they forced the tribes (and people) that stayed on the land to be essentially socialists. they were not allowed to open a store (be entrepreneurial) because the BIA was/is so frought with bureaucracy and " do goodism" that they would not allow private ownership.

The same worthless liberal schitheads that claimed the indians couldn' t make it on their own were the same ones that crushed them into poverty and alcoholism etc. in many instances.
