Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default NRA has alot more to offer...........

Alot of people on this board have trashed the NRA and other gun organizations on a regular basis. This is something that I just don' t understand comming from supposed hunters and shooting sportsman and women. I do realize that alot of you feel that instead of mailing you solicitations for donations all the time the money they' d save on postage would be better spent on fighting anti-gunners or promoting more sponsored shooting events.

Lets say if 1 person out of 20 sends in a 20.00 donation when solicitations go out, that is a net gain of $12.60, could be more than that because of bulk rate shipping. Why in the world would you fault the NRA for practicing smart business?

Anyway the reason I' m posting this is because I went through a NRA Basic Pistol course yesterday. It was an 8 hr class, that started from the very basics of safe gun handling to a bit more informational stance and grip instruction. I will be taking another class in November to become an instructor. The instructor class is a 17 hour course spread over 2 days to become certified to teach the basic class I just went through yesterday. I will be able to teach kids and adults alike the basics of firearm safety and shooting techniques.

This is just one other thing besides being a strong lobbying arm in Washington that the NRA does for the shooting sports. Maybe all you folks out there who have continued to bash them should look deeper into the organization before passing judgement. Or atleast be honest enough to admit some of you are just plain anti-gun pretending to be hunters.

F4YG' s, the most of them on here that trash the NRA will also trash GOA, RKBA, and all the rest of the pro-gun org. They are trying to protect something that is very important to them, even more important to them than their guns, they are trying to protect the liberals they vote for and the liberal party, they cannot stand to hear or see the truth when it comes the ones they vote for and their stance on gun issues. I have saw this over and over, they will even argue with the persons voting record on gun issues, and when it gets to you proving that their canidate is ant-gun they will just quit you and not show up for a month or so.

When someone bashs the pro-gun org. and then protect the anti-gunner politician that should tell us where that person stands on gun issues himself even if they do call themselves a pro-gun person.

I think too many people expect perfection from any person or organization and then obviously don' t get it. It' s also easier to complain than to do something to help or correct a problem.

I agree with all of you. The people who trash the NRA aren' t going to do anything for RKBA anyhow. You sure aren' t going to find the million moron march, the barady bunch, or americans for gun safety spending any money to teach safe responsible gun ownership, let alone classes on home defense, reloading, or Junior Shooting programs.
