Am I the only one that gets pi$$ed off at all the whining from the military wives I read about in the papers and see complaining on the TV about their husbands being deployed somewhere?
Every night the media around here has someone complaining because their husbands didn' t know they would ever be shipped out when they joined the military, reserves etc.
Duh!
Every one should have seen this coming the way Klinton cut back the military and let it short of troops.
I' ve heard these whiners say we liked the benefits and all the other stuff but we didn' t think we' d have to go to war.
I wonder if they would feel better if they were fighting here in the states so they could be home every night.
How would these people have handled WW2, Korea or Nam.
Instead of " Patriotism" it' s " poor me" .
I must agree. Also the whineing liberals who cry because we are taking on the terrorist in Iraq instead of Fargo or ST Joe or Nashville or thier hometown. Bush was dumb like a fox. Lets fight em over there. They are comming into Iraq to kill Americans. Well we can handle that.
If you look at the #' s, you' ll see it' s a vocal (read stupid) minority that the media is interviewing. The majority of military wives support their husbands and do not whine. The media will never interview them because that isn' t " newsworthy" enough for a media dominated by whining, complaining, fingerpointing, spin and BS.

Cal is right....the media roots out the negative comments and sourpusses. That sells while positive doesn' t. Good example was when we were in the process of liberating Iraq and stories kept cropping up about our troops running out of ammo, food, morale going south, etc. That' s why I carefully choose my sources. Peter Jennings, Dan Ratherliberal, CNN, the list goes on and on. If there is an angle to a story that somehow makes the current administration look bad....they will hit you with it. Problem is, after generations of this horse ----, a number of us caught on.
Every night the media around here has someone complaining because
But ya gota know what they report & what is reality are not nessarlly the same.AS others said here & elsewhere the media only reports what they want too & thats ussally one sided & only the side they want to show.
They are the great manipul;tors.
They show not all the proud parents & troops & all the good things they do in afgan& iraq.
They just like to make show & mini stars out of those in the streets wanting to kill americans & even travel with them to film them ambushing our troops- like its a big talent show for our enemys& there 15 seconds of fame time.
The media keep us agitated by exploiting the whiners that are a very small minority. This country is really a great place but you can' t see it for the news.
Spouses are the forgotten ones - especially reservists wifes when they are called to active duty. Your income drops considerably in a lot of cases, and it causes a real hardship on the family members left behind.
That aside - I' m sure the media looks for those who will complain about the deployment, and cast aside those who buckle down and make ends meet. Misery sells.
The majority of military wives support their husbands and do not whine. The media will never interview them because that isn' t " newsworthy" enough for a media dominated by whining, complaining, fingerpointing, spin and BS.
As a person with 38 years of total military service, I must say A=MEN to this! The great majority of miltary wives support their men, the military, and the chain of command all the way up to the Commander-in-Chief! The news media is just searching for as many ways as possible to discredit George Bush' s administration, and cause trouble. AS USUAL!!

Nobody bothered to mention that those are the same wives that are bellyachin and complaining when their men are home too. Military life is especially hard on families no matter if it is peace time or war time. Extended deployments are a way of life that many cannot accustom themselves to and some don' t want to, and yes the media is going to eat it up.
