Bay Area Teen Wants to Start High School ' Caucasian Club'

A teenager from Contra Costa County is raising eyebrows and concerns by trying to start a Caucasian club at her school.
Lisa McClelland says she is not a racist. Instead, the Oakley teen says she merely wants to help students of all races at her high school to learn about their backgrounds.
" I want to have one because no other schools have had any," she said. " I think it would be good for people, not only Caucasians, to learn about our background."
But some of the students at Freedom High don' t like the idea.
" We' ve got all these clubs on campus. It' s separating the students," said senior Jackie Maree. " It shouldn' t be like that."
McClelland has collected about 250 signatures on a petition she plans to present to the school principal. An official with the NAACP says he fears the group will create racial divisions at the school.
I heard that on the news last night and it really pi$$ed me off. There are black clubs and asian clubs in that school but a caucasion club is going to create racial devision..........wtf. I hope she gets to start the club or takes it to court.

Isn' t it funny that the spokesman for the National Association for the Advancement of COLORED People thinks that an all white club would divide the students??
As long as the NAACP is around, racism will never die. They' re too dependent on it.

Just to name a few. I hope this starts a wave of Caucasian Clubs all over the U.S.
Hypocrisy is only apparent here if this episode is removed from its historical context. In the case of this "Caucasian Club," the young lady aims to start a club to advance a group that has advanced itself quite literally by the widespread oppression of other groups. From 1607 to the nineteen seventies, for nearly 370 years, America has been a Caucasian Club that has legally denied membership rights to people of other races. More than that, this Caucasian Club acquired its financial and social resources literally by stealing the resources, even the very lives, of many others. These historical facts are the foundation of our country today. We may ignore it or attempt to dismiss it, but the ancestors of the oppressed peoples still keenly sense its unfairness. The Caucasian Club has passed laws proscribing the educational progress and integration of other groups into mainstream American society, and then ridiculed the other groups because of their lack of education. It has deliberately sought to cause others to feel inferior and unworthy of equality. The Caucasian Club has, for the vast majority of American history celebrated only Caucasian history, not merely one month of the year, but for twelve months of the year. The Caucasian Club, for the vast majority of American history used its resources, extracted from the lives of non-members, to create television empires that pointedly proscribed the participation of non-members. The Caucasian Club, for almost all of American history disallowed the participation of non-members in their beauty pagents, and even ridiculed the natural features of non-members, skewering psychological perceptions of beauty to favor their own. Even in my town, currently a bastion of empty-headed liberalism, the Caucasian Club once perniciously sought to destroy whole communities of other people-groups, simply because it saw those groups aspiring to greater success. This has been true across most of America, especially in the eastern parts of the country. Much bitterness and social pathology has been the result; and it will exist however much we complain that it should be overcome or forgotten.
The Caucasian Club has made many contributions to the world, but history shows that vast numbers of those contributions ultimately came at the tragic expense of others. Indian groups literally had their cultures and homes destroyed, their land taken. Blacks literally had their sense of self eradicated, with no hope of ever owning even their own bodies. Whites don' t have a " White Entertainment Television" only because from the very beginning until only very recent times all television has been WET. Whites do not have a Miss White America because virtually all of the history of American pagentry has been concerned with whites, to the deliberate exclusion of others.
This would all be fine if all this " entertainment" and " beauty" had come purely as a result of the industry of American whites. But it most certainly did not. It came also because someone' s land and home was taken, someone' s life was stolen, someone was killed, deceived, abused, someone was lied to-- the treaty he formed broken.
That history still governs our present world whether we wish to admit it or not. If there is a God of Justice, then He absolutely has to yet be concerned with this gross inequity or He is a God unworthy of anyone' s honor. Millions, indeed now tens of millions of people bristle against us because of it. So given its history in America, a "Caucasian Club" in the public school system seems an ominous and ridiculous development. Since the Caucasian Club has for so long thought others unworthy to join them, having even created the negative educational and social circumstances that served as the basis of their exclusion of others, peoples of other groups have in response worked to counter the Caucasian Club by affirming themselves within their own groups. These groups have formed merely as reactions to history. There is no double standard.
