It was bound to happen. A federal (very liberal) court in California just threw a monkey wrench in the works concerning the recall election. It seems there are some outmoded voting machines and punchcards that are feared to be too much for the uh intellectually challenged. Gray Davis lives on, the people and economy of California will continue to suffer on into the future.
Funny how the same simply machines that have functioned well for the last 50 years or so have now become such a problem. How hard can it be? Pull the lever by the candidates name and mechanical leverage punches the ballot card in the apropriate spot! Sounds pretty idiot-proof to me?
This ruling could only come from the U.S. 9th District C. of A. I' m guessing that if the governor being recalled were conservative the 9th would have issues a unanimous vote allowing the recall to proceed unhindered and those very same voting machines would be perfectly up to the task.
These are the incidents that really bring to light the under-handed tactics of the liberals, but somehow get ignored by the largest portion of the voting populace.
I read that the case could be appealed to either a full hearing with the entire 9th Circuit court or directly to the U.S. Supreme Court, and that the supporters of the recall are not going to waste their time with the 9th Circuit again. I have a feeling that this ruling is just delaying the inevitable, as the people of Kaliifornia very strongly want Greyout out of office.
Anytime you have Democrats, ACLU, and Kalifornia in the smae equation or sentence for that matter you really can' t be surprised at the outcome. However, something needs to be done about that group of clowns that call themselves the ninth circuit court of appeals......what a joke[X(]

We feel sorry for guys like you and calhunter. If the demmies are to ignorant to see that davis and his policies have all but ruined the state then they deserve what they get, I' m almost to the point of saying if the Ca. demmies want more leadership like they have had the last several years then let then postpone the recall and keep what they have, The only thing is, the state of Ca. has such an impact on the rest of the country that it will keep dragging the entire countries economy down. Other than that and the few sensible people it has left I say let the demmies have their way, let them return to their own vomit.
