Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Is Gore going to throw his hat in after all?

I saw on Drudge a recent poll where Gore would be in a statistical dead heat with Bush. I personally believe that he bowed out knowing Bush was unbeatable. However, considering Bush' s declining poll numbers, it wouldn' t surprise me one bit if he chose to run again. Then again, so might Hillary. It seems to me that he should consult her before embarrassing himself. Maybe this time he will have a strong message of NO GUN CONTROL, to at least fool the public into believing he has evolved again and won' t do what he desparately wants to do-- take guns away from otherwise defenseless victims of thugs... Maybe then, he thinks, he might have a shot at winning.

Any thoughts on the recent poll' s effect on Gore to renounce his statement that he won' t run?

A sour economy seems to me to be the only thing that would lead to a Bush defeat. Interesting news just came via email from the Bush website.....

Economists Envision Strongest Economic Growth in Four Years, Tax Relief Credited for Spurring Economy

Fifty-three of the nation' s top economists, surveyed by the Wall Street Journal this week, expect the U.S. economy to grow by at least 4% in the next two quarters - the strongest economic expansion since 1999.

Allen Sinai, chief economist at Decision Economics, Inc. described our current economic state as having " all of the earmarks of a major turning point." Many economists credited this incredible growth to President Bush' s tax relief for working families. " It seems that we' ve gotten more sustained spending out of tax cuts than I had expected," said John Silvia, chief economist for Wachovia Corp.

President Bush signed comprehensive tax relief for working Americans into law in May of this year. Since then, U.S. productivity has grown faster than expected and consumer spending is on the rise.

(I realize this is a Bush perspective and wouldn' t expect Bush bashers to agree. Oh well......)

Let them bash, history proves the truth, tax cuts grows the economy, tax increases cripple it, even John Kennedy knew that.

I don' t think gore will run, I think chillery would be the one to come forth and try to save the liberal party.

Just think now, if the demmies really feel that they have a shot at winning in 04 then the clintons will see too it that its chillary, if some other demmie wins in 04 then they will have their canididate for 08, that means the chillery would have to wait until 2012 to run, she would be 65 years old by then, she can' t wait that long.

Something else I was thinking about the other day, how would you like to be the president with chilly as your VP, do you think you would live past the first 6 months of your presidency?

Gore won' t run against Bush again just like hillary won' t run either. neither wants to lose and they know they would be almost certain to lose. For Gore, another loss to Bush would take away any halfway claim he still wants to make about the 2000 election loss. For hillary, it would absolutely kill her political career. Both know they simply can' t afford another loss.

CAL you are probably right, they are just trying to float along until 08, they are just trying to belittle Bush anyway they can, really the 9 running now are just being used as guienea pigs, get them and their canidacy out of the way in 04 for the the witch of NY to make her big move in 08. They know they can' t win in 04 and the moves you see from the liberals right now is just some tactics they' re using in hopes of gaining some house and senate seats back.

the republicans need to start building up a possible candidate for 08' beings that GW can' t run then , hillary is a very vocal *itch and she might have a chance if they don' t start doing something about it/her now.

or at least try to get somebody to boot her out of her senate seat like guilianni or somebody else who could equal him

I don' t think Gore could get enough support from his own party to make a run for the big house. As far as the voting public - He' s a Has Been - Old News.

Queen Bee Hillary is a jr senator with nuttin to show. Only way she made it in N.Y. is Alot of Big Party money - the biggest expenditure in a senatorial race ever. She does make herself available for every press and photo op. She might make some Dem a good VP mate.

If the economy shows a significant upswing,Iraq starts to make a turnaround and he doesn' t piss off the seniors and minorities - Bush will take it hands down.
