Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Many times in the bible God instructed man to sacrifice an animal so It does not mean not to kill animals. To me it simply mean thou shall not kill another person.

Zel if you would read the bible you would know what it means, you might also learn the truth about fagism.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that is where this thread is meant to go. Back to the subject of interpreting what the bible says about homosexuality. Getting very old.[>:]

The original Hebrew translation of the tablets brought down by Moses said, " Thou Shalt Not Do Murder" . That is entirely different than what the meaning has been watered down to in modern times. War, judicial executions and self defense was NOT included in the original directive. Criminal/malicious intent was the purpose expressly forbade by the commandment.

And the animals/plants were NEVER meant to be included/protected by the laws/commandments/directives as given to we humans thru the Bible. GOD dealt with this very quickly and early in the Bible. They are ours, for our use and we should use them and care for them with good stewardship!
Genesis 1:26: " And GOD said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

I guess naysayers/anti' s/petaheads cant read?

It sounds like an improper translation of one of the 10 commandments to me.

Hntngirl, you are 100% right, that is the only reason this thread was started, Zel is having a terrible time in proving his point about how right the *****s are so he is going to try a new angle.

strut - You have said the Bible is quite clear on things, correct ? Yet even one of the Commandments isn' t clear. Some people think it means don' t commit murder, others think it means that but the Death penalty is okay. Other think it menas don' t commit murder but also they believe in legalized abortion. There are some purists who take it literally and try not to kill anything alive.

That is my point of this thread - that while you think the Bible is clear, there is one thing I can prove - that the Bible ISN' T clear, that its all in the interpretation of the person reading it.

Am I right or wrong ?

Hntngirl - You brought gays into the discussion, not me.

Going by the Bible I feel the words Thou shalt not kill, is refering to murder. Animals and plants were given to man so that rules them out.
