Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default is war with Iran a foregone conclusion ?

certainly, no amount of talking, dealing, or sanctions has deterred the government of Iran from seeking the development of nuclear arms. Rather than defusing the situation, threats are issued. This is a very dangerous game they play...with the U.S. and Israel on one side, and Russia and China on the other.

You can bet your sweet bippy Israel is going to knock them into next week, It may be the war that is mentioned in Rev. 9:15 killing 1/3 of mankind.

Awww who cares? When it's time it's time, there has never been peace that part of the world and there will never ever be!

And another Domino begins to fall during the Islamist Winter: Kuwait

by John Galt
February 5, 2012 08:40 ET

The United States citizenry continues to enjoy this bubble of disbelief, told repeatedly that the threats of the Arab Spring uprisings are overblown and that the concerns expressed are rantings of anti-Obama and anti-Democracy forces. Unfortunately for one of the most inept State Department regimes in U.S. history, the Arab Spring did in fact give way to an Islamist Winter and the dominoes have been falling as feared, one nation at a time.
Kuwait joins this list of nations which are enduring a revolutionary fervor and shift towards an Islamic fundamentalist mindset which further destabilizes the region. The elections this past Thursday gave two thirds of the parliament to the Islamists which should send a shudder down the spines of Pentagon Generals and Saudi royalty. With this drastic shift in the sentiment of the Kuwaiti people against Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the corruption inherent within the last government and apparently the royal family, the West has been put on notice. While the Europeans and Americans slumber through the winter of false perceptions, Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood have been busy instilling discontent throughout the Muslim world.
The demands of opposition leaders for the establishment of a constitutional monarchy are in line with the radical reforms being proposed in Morocco, another U.S. ally. If this movement succeeds in its goals without violence and the Emir agrees to the new reforms, the American military presence in the region will probably lose its bases and foothold in Kuwait, thus opening the door to more mischief, courtesy of Iranian backed Shi’ite movements. Stay tuned for developments as this domino begins to fall during this long Islamist Winter.
To read more about the Kuwaiti developments, refer to these articles from The Arab News via Saudi Arabia and Al-Arabiya:

Kuwaitis punish government over graft, say analysts

Oh but 7.62nato claims those threats are all lies, lost in translation. Iran hasn't threatened anyone. Info act, they are right now preparing their valentines day cards as we speak. Iran is so misunderstood.

Yep, Bergall and FM have found a masterpiece in the propaganda source, World Net Daily. Surely you guys can do better than that.

The so called Kuwaiti "parliament" exists at the pleasure of the corrupt Kuwaiti Amir: Its a figurehead with no power. The Amir has the power to dissolve parliament: He has done that before.

The Shia majority of Kuwait has expressed its displeasure at the corrupt Amir and his family in the only way they can, by electing so called Islamists to "parliament". The entire country except for foreigners is Muslim.

Sorry to leave you off the last post falcon. I didn't know you would get so bent of shape not giving you credit also for claiming what a peace loving country Iran is and that it's all Isreal's faulty.

Please for give me. I will try better next time.

I don't know what bug flew up your butt...all I was alluding to was the escalation of rhetoric between Israel, US and Iran. Today, the Israelis issued a statement that they need no 'green light' from that idiot obama before they defend themselves. My purpose was to demonstrate the obstinacy of all parties concerned, and in my lifetime, the drums of war are very rarely ignored. Iran is running naval exercises in the Straits of Hormuz to tick everyone off...and everyone else is getting ready to start killing Iranians eventually. I will stick my neck out and predict that barring any changes in Iranian policy regarding the acquisition of nuclear weapons, the Israelis will launch a pre-emptive strike without U.S. cooperation. If they do it before election day, Obama will engage so he can assert to the world he's got stones. If it happens after, all bets are off.....

Why would it? We've been funding their nuke program for a long long time. Hell, we helped them get it off the ground back in the 50's.

We help them build it up and bitch when they actually get it on line. ****ing insanity.

again, not the issue. you're talking about 60 years ago. That was a different world, as different from today as it can possibly be. Fact is that we WILL need to go into Iran, one way or the other. If it's before election day, Obama will disavow any knowledge of the strike which will be discredited by Iran and quite frankly, the Israelis as well. So, WHEN Israel conducts a preemptive strike, the IRANIAN response will be to Israel AND the United States. So, whether anyone likes it or not, that's the way it is. Iran may or may not have the capability to strike the U.S., but that's not to say they won't try. If I was a dirt monkey squatting in a mosque in the fertile crescent, my first move would be to the southern border of the U.S. for a point of infiltration if my domestic technology disallowed a long-distance response.
