Thank God for Obamacare.
I've been setting in the business office of the hospital. My daughter has been in the hospital since Tue. My insurance provider is the same, but this time around my out of pocket, per day expense is now $5,500.00 before insurance kicks in, then its only 80%. A year ago it was $750.00 with $140.00 out of pocket and then insurance took over. My deductible use to be $250.00, it is now $1,000.00. Add that to the $2,500.00 more a year I’ve had to pay since Obamacare started. I was told by the business office that all insurance is gone through the roof to meet the new mandates of Obamacare. Talk about a kick in the balls. Worrying about a sick daughter and worry about paying the bills. I thought Obamacare was supposed to fix this. I’m one pissed off daddy right now.
A few years ago, my wife was in the hospital for surgery. Stayed for 4 days and our out of pocket expense was $500.00. I pay for the top policy so i don’t have to pay through the nose when things like this happen. Looks like Obama, or better yet, Nancy and Reid, have bent me over.

My monthly insurance cost has gone up over 50% since Obamacare kicked in...

Well, my group had gotten costs in line due to a variety of reasons. We had an increase of .2% at one point until Obamacare passed. That caused us to have an immediate 3.4% premium increase with an additional $50 yearly cost per additional person beyond the first two if you have a family plan.
That was just the increase in the first year with no coverage differance. It has not been a linear increase since then.
Well, now we have reduced coverage, increased premiums all while having reduced the cost per person which should have had the opposite effect, or at least no net loss.
We're paying more and getting less. Those with no insurance are still paying nothing like always. My parents--both in poor health--get billed over and over and over even after they pay their bills. It's sickening.

This is just another symptom of the sick and twisted world of the statist demokrat party. Obamacare is a bucket of crap, to be sure. Both my wife and my premiums have jumped substantially...I just thank God there have been no hospital stays other than the occasional sliced hide needing to be stitched and swabbed. It is critical that this garbage is repealed...the Bush tax cuts expire next year, so things're gonna get worse, not better, under the demokrats.
Our insurance increased substantially also. Mine is one of those high deductible plans. The cost is fairly reasonable but it doesn't include all the bells and whistles. It covers the girls too. We have to pay out of pocket for checkups and that, but we're covered in the event of something serious.
It makes me angry when people claim that health insurance isn't affordable. It certainly is if you budget properly and don't go running to the ER every time you get a sniffle.

If obamacare isn't repealed and something done about the strain illegals are putting on healthcare, it's going to get a lot worse. There's a reason the bulk of obamacare won't be implemented until 2014...if it were implemented now it would kill what little chance he has of being re-elected. "You have to pass it to find out what's in it..." That was one of the most embarassing moments in U.S. history...after bho being elected in the first place.
