Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

You forget the mandates handed down by the government to have X amount of energy produced via green technology. Can we both agree it's a farse and cancel all the idiotic laws and mandates punching for green energy? I would begin with the silly light bulb laws passed to keep GE's lights on.

I haven't forgotten anything. It would just take too much time to list all the green nonsense that's being forced down our throats.

The GOP are propagating the anti-green energy messages for political expediency in a election year. Hardly a new or uniquely GOP tactic.

For hypocracy on the energy front, the Keystone XL pipeline is a good source. Proponents claim it is necessary. Necessary to bring more Canadian oil to US markets. OK. Sounds good.

But, why not just expand the capacity of the existing Keystone pipeline? It already brings Canadian oil to US refineries in the midwest? Last year, the US became a net exporter of gasoline. Either the gasoline supply is greater than current US demand, or something else is going on.

Look at the intended location of the end of the Keystone XL pipeline, and a different picture comes into focus. It's more about developing access to foreign markets than satisfying US demand.

If the XL proponents said it was about creating short-term jobs, they'd seem more honest.

hogwash, that's the greenie Winnie argument. Do I really care if we are exporting gasoline? Nope, not one bit. Would I even care if we exported crude oil? Nope, not one bit. It's a sad day when we use baseless excuses to not want jobs here at home and buildout more capacity for energy.
