The U.S. economy created jobs at the fastest pace in nine months in January and the unemployment rate dropped to a near three-year low, offering a hopeful sign for hiring in the year ahead.
Employers added a net 243,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported Friday -- that's the most since April and far better than economists' expectations for a gain of only 150,000.
The nation’s unemployment rate fell to 8.3 percent in January from 8.5 percent in the prior month. The rate has dropped 0.8 percentage point since August and is now at its lowest level in nearly three years.

Hello, the labor force has also shrunk as well. And you are happy with 8.3%, wow. Still higher than when he took office. This "recovery" from the recession is the worse in the history of America. Great Job Obama.

He shouldn't have to worry about packing, he should have his A## thrown out on the street for the dog that he is..along with that big butt woman of his...
yeah.....18% functional unemployment is just SO characteristic of a statist puke like obama. The adoration of his troglodyte minions is quite comical....

I just wonder if Obama is going to do like the Clintons and steal everything that is not nailed down, from the White House? Also wonder if he is going to take all the R keys off the computer like Clinton did to Bush taking all the B keys.
Also, wonder what legal files will show up after they leave, wink wink Hillary.

yeah when you adjust the figures, it was like 60,000 jobs added, not 240k or whatever the figure is. To me, any economic turn around is in spite of Obama, not because of him, it just shows how powerful capitalism is, that it can continually try and heal itself even in the face of a presidents negative policies. Just imagine what it could do with the government behind it instead of in the way.
well, even better, we KNOW a very good portion of Obama's constituency is inner-city, undereducated po' folks. In those neighborhoods, they're buying beer, liquor, drugs with them gov'mint foo-tamps. So I guess the admin is not only supplying the drug lords with guns, he's subsidizing their operations as well.
with 98% of the black population voting for obama in 2008, and an estimated 92% voting for him in 2012, four things will happen and I could not be happier:
1: The racist demokrats, knowing they have the 'black vote', and don't have to do
anything to get it, will continue to ignore them.
2: the republicans, knowing it's a foregone conclusion that they will not get the black
vote because they all vote demokrat, will also ignore the black vote (and rightly
so).
3: the blacks, seeing that "obama don' pay mah veeza beel" and "Obama din't pay
mah car loan", will stay home in increasing numbers on election day, weakening his
base.
4: republicans, energized by an anti-obama vote will vote en-masse for the republican
candidate, regardless of who he is.
Looks bright and sunny from this vantage point.....
