Default Looking for budget cuts?

Can we all come together and agree this is a starting point? Calls to increase taxes are BS. A, they are based on greed. B, they aren't even close to solving our problems. There isn't enough money out there to tax that would solve our spending problem at the federal level. If you think there is, please post the facts, not the jealousy feelings.

Exactly. I don't know why that is so hard to understand. Spending cuts have to begin, and soon. The dem war-cry of "tax the rich!" is nothing more than a straw man to deflect attention from the real problem.

I think we can agree "all" spending has to be looked at and cut.neither party has the will to cut spending across the board.

I agree cuts and cost cutting measures have to begin. But just try reforming the big entitlements, SS, Medicare/caid and see how far you get.

We need to have across the board cuts if they can't come up with anything better. I like the penny plan. What's unbelievable is that is the federal budget were frozen to 2011 levels and not a penny more was spent, that would be scored as a 9 trillion dollar cut. Are you fricking serious?

The penny plan is a "fair" no nonsense plan, that does indeed make real cuts across the board..unfortunately "both" parties special interests killed it.

That's just not true the Willpa. We had record employment under Bush. Now under Obama and the Dems goal to prove the government can stimulate the economy we have 1980s number of jobs and 5 more trillion in debt. Se tell me again what doesn't work?

Yep, we had record employment and it cost us big time in the end.to be fair both parties are to blame for that expensive record employment and as can be expected Obama has continued the trend

Record employment with record revenues cost us? How so? Are you saying you like where we find ourselves today? Massive deficits caused by the Dems and very low job numbers?
