Default Romney - Tax Plan

Just saw an interview with Mitt on Fox last night. Asked about his tax plan. He said he wouldn't change his tax plan at all. He would create a more even across the board tax plan for everyone else but not touch his plan.

So let me get this straight. (He loves his plan that only billionaires can live on) He is going to create more revenue for the country with this flat tax plan. He is not going to touch his plan where he pays less than 15%.

So the way I see it, 99% of americans are going to pay a lot more taxes and he will keep his job creating tax plan. Ha ha. The numbers just don't add up.

The BUSH tax cuts absolutely killed the defecit when you see Mitt and company not paying a fair % of their income.

He buys companies, fires the employees, runs up the value of the company, takes no "salary", sells the company and transfers the sold assets to a trust that only passes down dividends and capital gains at much lower tax rates. Then he later transfers (100,000,000) to his kids trust that also pays no taxes on distributions.

Congress and Bush Tax plan = They should be hung for treason!!

Hello Will H.D. Sal.

You need to learn about taxes. 15% is capital gains. The very same you get taxed when you make money on your investments. Same as Obama, Buffet, Pelosi, etc. etc. I am sure you do not pay the 38% income tax that Romney payes.

And your attempt at a diatribe about Bain is awful weak. What is wrong with saving a company from going under, retooling, and creating more jobs in the long run. Kind of sounds like what this country needs. By the way, Obama is hireing Bain C.E.Os, so where is your disqust with Obama?

By the way, I dont care much for Romney, but the truth is the truth.

I am having an increasing problem with people who call themselves American, but who neither understand nor support the basics of capitalism. WTF ???

Cool

Somehow the Liberals are bent on promoting Communism in spite of its obvious failure in the Soviet Union and the steady progress away from Communism and towards Capitalism in China.

Somehow these people avoided learning all the stuff I learned in school.

I am 200% for capitalism. My point being that they have crafted a way to not pay or just pay 15% tax. I am in the top bracket but I just get a w-2.

Romney and company(congress) designed a system for wallstreeters and venture capitalists to not pay as high a tax rate. That is what pisses me off. Not the capitalism part. Romney is successful and he should make money. He takes the risk.

My main point was that he is lieing about his plan or he is going to just sharply reduce revenues. The even out will not work as long as you leave out the select few that have worked around the system. The numbers don't add up.

Why will people stand by and support this atrocitiy while paying a much higher portion of their income in taxes.

I am tired of it.

I was a practicing CPA for years back in the old days. I just can't figure this one out.

I think I did, but that would mean it will just be more of the same if Romney gets elected. Huge defecits and tax breaks for the wealthiest.

See the plan here is simple. Stifle the federal government and create enourmous defecits. Cut spending to local governments and schools. The locals then have to raise taxes, and that comes from Real Estate taxes etc. That taxes the poor and middle class even more.

The rich, who's percentage of R/E is pennies to them, keep their preferential low rates and their school taxes go up a small amount (means nothing to them). All the while the middle class loses school stuff(Sports Etc.) and gets their R/E taxes just keep going up.

That is the plan. Mark my words.

I totally know the difference and understand the tax code. I just don't like it that when your business is buying stuff and selling it at a higher price that for mostly everyone it is considered income and for the wallstreet guys it is called a capital gain.

I buy a piece of equipment for $1,000,000 here at work, we resell it for $1,500,000. I need to pay tax on the $500,000, and it is treated as normal income. Plain and Simple. We are S-Corp so it is taxed at an individual rate.

Romney and company, buy a company for $1,000,000 sell it for $1,500,000 and they call that a capital gain and that gets taxed at only 15%.

Total BS in my opinion. But of course they wrote the code didn't they.

Don't forget their buys and sells create jobs (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHALOLOLOLOLOL) and mine doesn't (???????????????????)

I have come to understand that there is no longer a stigma attached to being an American 'communist' or 'socialist'. That's a problem, as these vermin have come out of the woodwork and are attempting to derail this country and it's capitalist way of life. To change the very foundations upon which this nation was built. As a result,
I am looking at the "House Committee on Un-American Activities" (a demokrat-run committee, I will add !) with increasing nostalgia...this is something we need again, I think. We need to root out our enemies, make them fear discovery, stop their destructive practices, punish them for their transgressions and excise them from the workplace. We may not eradicate this pestilence from among us, but it will at the very least send them back into the woodwork where they belong.
