I have never bought into the claim that Romney is the best we have to run against Obama.

Republican Candidate vs. Obama polls. Republicans will vote for Romney if that's what they get. Romney and Paul do the best against Obama.

America doesn't like the Grinch.
Fox News, 1/12-1/14:
Obama, fav/unfav, 51%/46%, +5
Romney, fav/unfav, 45%/38%, +7
Gingrich, fav/unfav, 27%/56%, -29
CBS/NYT, 1/12-1/17:
Obama, fav/unfav, 38%/45%, -7
Romney, fav/unfav, 21%/35%, -14
Gingrich, fav/unfav, 17%/49%, -32
PPP, 1/13-1/17:
Obama, app/dis, 47%/50%, -3
Romney, fav/unfav, 35%/53%, -18
Gingrich, fav/unfav, 26%/60%, -34
Newt also would lose Texas to Obama in a recent poll!

Especially when it is the Washington establishment and even the Democrat's telling us that. I've said it all along that the Dems. have an easy game plan to run against Romney. Right now, I don't see how Romney can win over Republican voters and become our nominee.
|
Puulease. The media has really nothing against any of the establishment candidates. They only blackout Paul, and that's well-documented.
FYI, the Obama Administration has been preparing for Romney being the nominee. Nowhere have they stated that he is the weakest one.
In fact,
most of the GOP establishment wants Romney. Why do you think many states were moved up?
From the Crystal Ball:
"Establishment Republicans do not want Gingrich as their nominee, period. Privately, some senior GOP members of Congress have predicted that if Newt is the Republican nominee, the House will go Democratic in November."

In 2008, we had McCain forced on us. The media picked him for us, and after Florida it was a done deal. I think the same forces that kept Romney from winning in 2008 are still in play now, and thank God we don't have McCain as the alternative. The difference is maybe this time we will have a street fighter to go against the Chicago gangster. McCain was not smart enough to know he was being mugged.
|
No, Republicans picked McCain. They're not conservatives.

I really liked how Gingrich made the moderator look like a fool on the last debate when the first question was about his ex old lady. I think him and CNN knew the got Beotch slapped.

John King could have slammed him, but he backed off. I wish they would have asked Newt about the state of Virginia and how he is behind everyone else in polls against Obama.

I am a little shocked. I bet he wishes he got on the ballot in his home state of Virginia now. Pretty good showing without a huge organization. My bet is he will ramp it up. I have the feeling that Romney through his advisors could see this one coming.
|
That Sheldon Israel-firster I believe is going to commit $20 million to one of the Grinch's super PACs. That ruling was stupid. Paul gets that much from average Joe's. Newt needs a billionaire like Huntman and his daddy.
Newt also doesn't have a full slate of delegates in some states. I'm not sure if it's that significant.
If adding Virginia and the caucuses, that's 564 delegates. Newt probably won't do well in these low turn-out caucuses because he doesn't have national organization.

I hope Newt (or, heaven forbid, Romney) has the guts to vet bho this time around--bring his criminal associations, drug usage, socialist/comunist/terrorist associations, etc. to light--not to mention his list of lies and utter failure as a leader.
|
The media did bring them up. The public just didn't care. I don't think the communist/socialist ties will go well with a lot. They'll think your stuck on the Red Scare. The terrorist association looks like you have a tin foil hat on.
I don't think Newt would do good one-on-one. Look at the last debate. Santorum ripped him a new one. Comes across as arrogant and a phony.
