Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default CNN is scared of Ron Paul

CNN Breaking News shows Romney and Obama tying, but don't mention that Paul also tied Obama. The breaking news has many viewers.

No wonder why some people want the Fairness Doctrine.

I'll agree with you that the media seems to be promoting Romney.

But do you have a reference to that poll showing O'Bama and Paul tied?

HI There BigGuy
Technically a virtual tie. Now it's showing Paul on their website, but I believe the "breaking news" headline was already tweeted and sent out to registrants.

Gingrich has a double digit difference from Obama. There goes his electability argument.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...wns/?hpt=hp_t1

"According to the survey, if the November election were held today and Romney were the Republican presidential nominee, 48% say they'd vote for the former Massachusetts governor, with 47% supporting the president. Romney's one point margin is well within the poll's sampling error.

The poll also indicates Paul statistically tied with Obama, with the president at 48% and the longtime congressman at 46%. "

Fox is also scared. They had a poll out today, but didn't ask Paul vs. Obama. Instead, they did Paul as third party.

"In a potential Obama-Romney election, 46 percent of voters would back Obama and 45 percent Romney if the election were held today. The president’s narrow advantage is well within the poll’s three percentage-point margin of sampling error."

It's definitely close. Did Fox also poll for Paul running as the republican candidate?

No, instead they did a Romney vs. Paul vs. Obama. Paul as third party.

"A Ron Paul third-party run could put Obama squarely in the driver’s seat. As an independent candidate, Paul receives the support of 14 percent and Obama tops Romney by 42-35 percent."

Here's a link to that poll Bigbuck is citing.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...ns/?hpt=hp_bn3

It's a poll of 1,021 people, 928 of whom were registered voters.

My husband reminds me that Jimmy Carter was way ahead of Ronald Reagan in the polls until just before the election.

I think the guy the media fears is Gingrich. They have essentially ignored Paul. Any unfavorable opinions raised about Paul, he's generated on his own. We haven't read anything about Paul in the media.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/beh..._comeback.html

"The bottom line is that there was no evident momentum for either candidate as the 1980 presidential election neared its completion. That is until Reagan's breakthrough debate performance."

There was only one debate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...election,_1980

"Carter, after defeating Ted Kennedy for the Democratic nomination, attacked Reagan as a dangerous right-wing radical"

Sound familiar? Reagan was also thought to be unelectable.

"One analysis of the election has suggested that "Both Carter and Reagan were perceived negatively by a majority of the electorate."[11] "

Sound familiar again? lol Though, Carter was in the 30's I believe. Paul has negative press and misrepresentations of his ideas. He can only go up in the polls.

In fact, the "Ron Paul Chronicles" ad in NH funded by Huntsman's daddy apparently wasn't denting Paul's support at all, even though it was totally ridiculous.

They ignore him because they don't want the movement to grow.

Have you ever gone back and watched his speeches on YouTube? Inspirational puts it mildly.

I personally like the polling numbers of Romney, Gingrich AND Paul. They have not even STARTED to campaign directly against the idiot-in-cheef and they are ALREADY in a statistical tie. I look forward to the eradication of Obamanation because as soon as this campaign starts in earnest (once the republican candidate is selected), you're gonna see destruction on a grand scale, with the demokrats getting 'owned'. IMO, of course.

First of all I would have to question the mindset of anyone who watches CNN.
