Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

For the life of me i cannot understand why any governor would pardon a murderer. Hope none of these scumbags murder additional folks like one of Huckabees pardoned murderers did.

I sure don't understand it. I don't know the details, but some of his pardons absolutely make no sense.

The Miss. AG is fighting some of Barbours pardons. He says they are not constutional.

This pretty much puts an end to Barbours political career unless he runs as a criminal coddling Democrat.

A Miss. judge has halted Barbours pardons. Yep, Good Ole Boy Barbour claimed to be for law and order and all that stuff. Turns out he cared more for scum of the earth than the families of their victims.

http://news.yahoo.com/judge-halts-mi...-abc-news.html

Quote:
As victims' loved ones ask why killers and rapists got pardoned by former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour during his final hours in office, a Mississippi state judge has temporarily halted the release of 21 of the 200-plus pardoned inmates.

Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood had requested the injunction against the inmates' releases, telling reporters he believes some of Barbour's pardons could have violated the state constitution by failing to give sufficient public notice that the convicts were seeking clemency.

The state constitution requires a public notice about an inmate's intention to seek a pardon be published for 30 days before the governor can grant one.

Five former inmates, four of them convicted of murder and serving life sentences, have already been released. The state's top lawyer is asking the court to serve those former inmates notices underlining that their release may be challenged.

When I posted the link, the entire story was downloaded, including the pertinent info on Farves brother's case. I later read your post, quick hit the link I provided, and lo and behold, it now contained only the correction. If you read the last paragraph of the link, the "all rights reserved" and "may not be redistributed" may have something to do with the editing of my post w/o my permission. Anyway, I'm sure if you are really interested in the story, you have the ability to pull it up yourself. Sorry about the snafu, it was not of my doing.
