This will be interesting for a number of reasons:
1: the ticket was issued
2: there were no 'conditions' placed on the issuance of the ticket
3: there were, at least in the account you relate, no overtures by the 'scumbag cop'
made to the speeder WHILE he was writing the ticket.
4: it seems that the stop, the citation and encounter were over...the enforcement part
of this scenario was done and everyone had left the scene...no leverage was used
to 'procure' a date.

The sole issue here, is the cop's use of the data on the citation to track down the object of his amourous intentions and ask her for a date. Is it harassment ? I dunno...but I don't predict the kind of punitive results that a little scumbag like you might want.

What a joke. Waste of resources. She should pay for all court costs.

I wouldn't call him a scumbag. But I think he's a doofus for assuming a girl to whom he issued a $132 ticket would respond favorably. But a lawsuit? I don't think so.

There was a case around here where a cop used the police data system to get information about someone she didn't like. She got fired.

There is a lesson here for all cops everywhere though. Don't hit on some girl to whom you issued a ticket.

Let's hope he doesn't make a habit of it

liberal cop? haha now that's a first!

and seriously how stupid does a cop, a man have to be to think a woman would go on a date with him after he issued her a ticket? hope this loser never has kids... save the rest of us from his dna.

btw on the news I saw that it shows that he illegally used his resources etc... to locate her address, which constitutes stalking etc... or harassment, something to that affect.

hope this conservative scumbag ends up on welfare/food stamps, that would be irony!

how do you figure that one? Last time I got a ticket or even went tthrough a road block, I had to surrender my ID for them to verify. hmm, isn't there your address on that ID, the same address hat would be in the system?

This bitch just see deep pockets in the tax payers.

by the way, STUPID, the lady's (and I do use the term loosely, but give her the benefit of the doubt) name and address are on the ticket she was issued. No illegal use of PD resources there. ANd just to be clear...cops follow the demokrat chow line as their union tells them to go, same as all public-sector union libscum do.

hehehehh..... it just seems vindictive to me. Yet, in this corrupt day and age, this woman may have a case as the advance was unwarranted, unwanted, and as has been related to me by more than one female acquaintance (including Mrs.Bergall whose opinion I value most of all...), the cop was 'creepy' and his advances would have scared them BECAUSE he was a cop. I guess men see these sorts of things differently than women. Go figgya....

I guess I'd sue a cop if he wrote me a ticket and then asked me for a date !
