Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default How quick do you think we could deep six their entire fleet?

Just wondering. I'm sure we have many time the fire power it would take to send every ship they own to the bottom of the ocean.

It would depend on how many assets we used. Probably a few days to a week.

I personally think we should at least sink two just to show them how fast we can do it and give them a taste of reality..

I agree Cal, they probably will sink their own ships.

We have seen it time and time again with the Middle East talking, boasting and acting like bullies, and when we give them a taste of their own medicine the go running off like dogs with tails between their legs.

My late wife was in the transportation business (shuttle between DFW airport and Dallas) she had over 100 drivers most of them from Iran or somewhere else in the Middle East, from time to time I would help her out. I found out soon that their bark is worse than their bite; I can't tell you how many times one would spout off verbal assaults to me and tell they were going to kick my @$$; when I got in their face and took them up on their offer they would coward down and run away like the dogs they are!

Normally, don't these troglodytes get Russian/Chinese cast-offs ? Y'know...the substandard crap they would not use on a bet ? I believe the eradication of an Iranian
'fleet' would be a minor inconvenience to the U.S. Navy. I mean, even CRAP floats.....

It's not so much their Naval assets that I think I'd be worried about, that could be taken care of rather quickly. It's the shore based surface-to-surface missiles, and mine laying capabilities that would be a problem. Kinda the same problem we had back in 1987 when we were escorting the reflagged Kuwaiti tankers thru the straits.

True.... yet another reason to hold the demokrat's feet to the fire in stifling U.S. energy independence. So now, we're at the mercy of a desert hairball and his stinking minions who would, if not for the oil flowing from that part of the world, be regarded as insect life in a conflict such as this.

This I believe must result in some sort of an exchange between powers; I can only hope it'll be after the election of 2012 and the 'puke in a suit' is back at home in Chicago. No boots on the ground. Freeze their assets....Sink their ships....embargo their goods....blockade their ports...starve them like rats. Bomb their military installations and destroy their nuclear facilities. Or, we can negotiate with them and try to give them what they want and appease them...but only if we have another demokrat administration re-installed in 2013....

This would be the way to go, I think!
