What offenses have been committed? Serious frauds, that's what. Some of the most prominent Climategate emailers appear, on the face of the evidence in the emails, to be engaged with each other and with others in an elaborate series of connected deceptions calculated to enrich themselves and their associates, impoverish everyone else and destroy key industries and national economies wholesale by systematically and often greatly exaggerating the supposed threat and costs of anthropogenic “global warming”, the certainty of the science that underlies the IPCC's claims, and the effectiveness of the various methods proposed for the attempted mitigation of anthropogenic “global warming”, while correspondingly understating the benefits of that warming and the costs of its attempted mitigation.
That is great news! Wouldn't it be just lovely if it rolled over on algore and other scam artist "scientists" here?
Just another example of how "science" is manipulated to fit an agenda. Wonder how many that were sincerely fooled by this garbage will open their eyes to the truth?

This "human caused global warming" fraud needs to be publicized more widely. Unfortunately the liberal media has already prostituted itself to the agenda.
This forum looks kind of exciting

I am not smart enough to even get close to what is right or wrong with global warming. I do think we inhabitants of planet earth are fouling the nest as our populations increase. I live in a very rural place with great water and air quality and a dark sky at night. I do some traveling around the US and always marvel when I approach a large city how I can smell it way before I get there. When I am used to seeing a distant mountain ridge 20 miles away and can’t see the top of the high rise building due to the smog it makes me think that on a small scale the pollution has impacted something in that city. Looking at fixed objects I can see a type of filmy grit all over everything. That substance came out of the air and isn’t in areas where there aren’t many people. Acid rain from mid west coal plants is always falling down range in my part of the country. What happens on the west coast can affect the east coast due to weather patterns. Large scale deforesting that occurs in places like the Amazon basin can have long range repercussions relative to the cleansing affect that plant life has on the air and the regeneration of O2. Pollution from land fills is always getting into the aquifer near heavily populated areas. The real question is can all this small time pollution combine together and affect the vast atmosphere of the earth. Who knows but it can’t help it.

The answer is simple--no. I wish I could remember where I read it...there's bound to be some info. on the www ...but what it amounted to was the amount of pollution caused by any major volcanic eruption makes big city pollution look like a single drop of oil in the ocean. The amount of Co2 put off by the rotting vegetation in rain forrests makes the human "carbon footprint" look like a flea track in the dessert.
God was smart enough to design the earth to take whatever we were stupid enough to throw at it. He said when it's time to blow it up, He'd be the one to take care of that. Kind of like the old Bill Cosby joke, talking to his kid (or maybe his dad talking to him?). "I brought you into this world, and I'll take you out!".

One volcanic eruption like Pinatubo or Krakatoa puts more CO2 into the atmosphere than everything we humans have done since we discovered fire.
Exactly--and what were the long-term effects? Not to mention the real toxic gases, sulfur, envrionmental damage from the lava, etc. etc. etc. The earth is very resillient.

You are correct. First, there isn't enough CO2 in the atmosphere to make a difference. Only 2% of the atmosphere is made up of greenhouse gases. Of that 2%, 95% of it is water vapor. Only 3.6% is CO2. Humans only account for 3.4% of that. We are number 7 (I think) for CO2 producers. Tree produce way more CO2 than we do.

They do as they grow through photosynthesis. Negligible when dormant but in the overall scheme of things trees give much more o2 than c02. The c02 can come from decaying leaves. The fact that 02 comes from living plant matter like trees is a compelling argument against allowing massive forest cutting. Living matter allows our planet to renew itself.
