Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

They do. The Texas pledge is done after wards.

I have lived in Texas all my life and have never seen the Texas pledge before. My only concern is it is very simplistic, Three simple lines.

Honor the Texas flag;
I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas
one and indivisible

Im just curious who wrote it and when?

" I pledge allegiance to the United States...."
Unless Texas decided it isn' t a part of the United States, I think one allegiance is just fine. We don' t need one just for the state of Texas.
I' m pretty proud of Texas and Colorado alike...but we only need one pledge and we need to make that one work!

As long as The Pledge of Allegience to The United States of America is being said, there is nothing wrong with following that up with The Texas Pledge. Pride in your state doesn' t take away from pride in your country. Both are great things to feel good about!

I think its great and should be done in every state. The Liberals will cry thier eyes out over this. But then that is certainly nothing new.. I can,t help but think that all the people fretting about this stuff don' t have enough real stuff to do.

Every public school day in Va. starts with The Pledge of Allegiance, I know it is going on today and I did it starting in 1958!
