Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Is it too late?

for Fred Thompson or Rudy Giuliani to join the race? haha.

Is newt the fattest geek ever?

Seriously aside from Ron Paul these guys aren't even close, this is like a bad joke gone bad...

lets at least make 2012 a competition, I'm worried 2012 Obama might be even more of a landslide than 2008 was...

I'm curious to know why someone who supports a gun grabber (as has been exposed in the "Fast and Furious" debacle) is doing on a site dedicated to hunting?

I think it was a good debate for all except Romney. Perry even looked like he took his Geritol before this one. This was by Perry's best, and probably his only good one. I thought Newt was very strong. I think Newt does these debates just for the sport of it.

It looks like Gingrich is in the lead for the nomination right now.

I think one advantage he has is the ability to best O'Bama in any debate. Plus, he's a seasoned politician with a lot of credibility in Congress.

The problem with Gingrich is that he's not a conservative. I would still vote for him over Obama as I would vote for Romney as well.

In a face to face debate Gingrich would make Obama look like the idiot he is.

I am not too sure this whole thing will work out. I watched CBS 60 Minutes last night and of course they featured Obama with what I would say is a slanted interview that portrayed him in a better light than he deserved. While watching all the networks recently the one thing that is apparent is media focus on all the GOP candidates showing all the negatives. One by one they are all looking like they can't beat Obama when it comes down to the vote. With so many GOP candidates still in the race all the shots are aimed at each other rather than the real target. They say Gingrich is the smartest one out there but in the same breath they say he isn't dependable and has a history of acting rash and getting into trouble. All are pretty much under the impression that Romney can't be elected and he is the second place contender right now. Many people right now are looking at the lesser candidates hoping one of them will rise in the polls and take advantage of a timely popularity increase just in time for the Primary election. It just seems to me that Obama might be enjoying the perfect storm scenario to get re-elected. A few weeks ago I wouldn't have thought that possible but it looks like the media is making the power play and my bet is the American public will fall for it.

Example:

WASHINGTON -- Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum lumped together his two leading rivals, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, claiming their records are too much like President Barack Obama's on big issues like health care, climate change and Wall Street bailouts.
"I think the tea party people are going to realize we need a clean, clear contrast," Santorum said during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday. "We need this race to be about Barack Obama and his record, not about the Republicans agreeing with that record. That would be the last thing we should be nominating, is someone who has a bad record on some of the most important issues we’re going to be dealing with."
Santorum used that comparison to argue that he's a consistent conservative. The comparison was a slap at Romney and Gingrich's past support of a government requirement to put aside money for health care and their belief in climate change.

I just was reading about Paul and he really has some great ideas but scares the heck out of many people since he is so far off from the position of most other Politians. A lot of what he says makes sense and people are looking for dramatic change but are afraid of going too far as with Paul. Kind of takes me back to the Barry Goldwater days in a way.
