Just went over Snoqualmi Saturday, and North Bend' s prices are out of this world! Here is the thing that gets me - they have the pumps set to stop at $50 - So those driving a Suburban you get automatically stopped at $50 and have to restart the whole dang thing to get a full tank. Some pumps are set to automatically stop at $35!

$1.69.9....they make it here too! Hell, there' s a Kwik Fill at the end of the refinery....used to run a line direct, but the truckers complained and now they have to truck it from the tank to the end of the driveway![:@]

I filled up at $1.69/gal the other day, which has been about the average price for the last couple of years in wisconsin. I also noted that on the pump there was a breakdown of the state and federal gasoline taxes- about $.47 per gallon. Which works out to roughly 1/3 the price being being taxes. Boston Tea Party ring a bell to anyone??

Oh yeah? How about $3.47 gallon and up, not to mention lineups where you have to wait 1/2 to 3 hours??? That' s what we have right now in Phoenix... A single pipeline feeds Phoenix area, and it broke last week... don' t worry, no price-gouging, though.. [>:]
