Default Republican Party Hits New Low: The Donald Trump Primary

Well it looks like Donald Trump is all set to host a Republican primary debate on Dec 27 in Iowa. All I can say is what a complete and utter joke our democracy has devolved into. Any Republican candidate paticipating in this farce is willfully degrading our system of governance to the level of a game show. I cannot imagine how candidates involved with this could ever hope to gain the presidency. I suppose the Republicans will get Pee Wee Herman or Will Ferrell to host their next debate.... confirming to the world just how pathetic and silly their party has become.

Really, a successful business owner who has created an empire including a name recognized around the world, is incapable of asking direct and informative questions?

Do you have to try real hard to be so ignorant or does it just come neutral to you?

Think Trump is perfect to moderate Rep debate

what better rep than a rep in bed with NYC politicians
trump never made an issue of NYC reps raising taxes, fee's
not a peep from trump when bloomberg gave the city counsel everything they asked for so they would overturn the 2 term limits,
why is trump quiet at the local level? because he is part of the system, needs them to obtain permits/financing etc...
and as i recall art of the deal was all about spending other peoples money, guess that qualifies him to moderate a debate.

and leave it to the reps of this forum to defend anything republican even if it means defending trump as a moderator for a rep debate

I think it's a mistake for Trump to host a Presidential forum for a variety of reasons. 1. He's still potentially a candidate and that has conflict of interest written all over it. 2. He is not somebody you would take seriously as a political figure. Yes, I know people like Al Franken have run for office and won but that doesn't mean they are completely taken seriously either.
3. It sets a precedent that may result in a serious lowering of debate standards. What individual or other conflict of interest group is going to host the next debate? I don't think any of the networks are without their conflicts of interest either but they would seem to have a little more desirability as a host for a Presidential debate.

There are more reasons but these 3 spring to mind easily.

Ron's the only 1 that is halfway sane, and yet has no chance of getting the nod.

As for donald... creating a company? didn't he inherit millions from his father? not exactly "self-made"

He does own Ms.America or whatever pageant that is...maybe this is his new pageant...? Will there be a swimsuit section?

How is Trump any less qualified to host a debate then say, Anderson Cooper?

That would be my question. I would agree that it might be lowering the standards of the POTUS debate, but that's already been done IMO.

What is required to moderate a POTUS debate anyway?

I find it hilarious that some of the same ones that crowed about Palin not being qualfied for VPOTUS (while voting for bho) don't have anything better to slander the Republican candidates over.....

Fact is this:
1: this entire series of debates does nothing but give the sphinct-o-crats ammunition
with which to debase the republican party.

2: I would encourage ALL republican candidates to remove themselves from these stupid debates and start to CAMPAIGN....PUT OUT THEIR PLANS TO SAVE THE WORLD...START TO ATTACK AZZCLOWN OBAMA FOR THE POS THAT HE IS.

3: Trump....I would not vote for him on a bet....unless he was the republican candidate
for president in the 2012 presidential election.

4: Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Wright, Franks, Dodd, Weather Underground, Solindra, 14 trillion national debt, 20% unemployment that is unabated, etc etc etc. THIS is the national embarrassment and the fact that "The Donald" can afford to fund and host a presidential debate does not hold a candle to the utter uselessness of the democrats in office right now who should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. After being beaten bloody by 'Joe the Plumber' and "Larry Lunchbox" and whatever other condescending terms the left can put on american middle-class workers struggling to regain what the demokrats have piddled away forever.

So for you lefty morons choking down demokrat road-apples at every turn...take a tox screen and see if you're not od'ing on your own poison. Your brains are damaged to the point where you don't smell your own stink.
