Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Cain Train Has Stopped

Cain has pulled the plug on his campaign. It's too bad because he brought some new ideas, fresh air and fun to the campaign.

Cool

We're glad to see him out of the picture, but would rather he had been bumped because of his proposed tax increases.

Had he been elected, Congress would have cheerfully raised taxes, knowing that Cain would take the heat, just as Bush and even Obama get blamed for everything that goes wrong. This in spite of the fact that everything that has gone wrong has been voted on and approved by Congress.

I did not see 999 as a tax increase...he lowered my tax rate on the federal level from about 35% to 9%....we'll never see what the 9% VAT of his would have cost us...maybe more than any other tax, or maybe just a nuisance.... He just could not keep his attentions from the ladies. Rooster in the Henhouse...and once he goes home to his wife and 'has speaks', he'll be a capon.....

I hate to see him go. As best I could tell, the only ones he would raise taxes on were those that paid no taxes to begin with and/or got "earned income credit" (makes me think of "planned parenthood"--what a joke of a title).

His foreign policy gaffe's made me nervous. I would have voted for him in the general if he were the nominee but not in the primary.

In my opinion, I honestly think that Herman Cain was set up. You see, I think Obama-lama-ding-dong, his henchmen, the liberal media, etc... were all terrified of Herman Cain. Here was a 100% black man who spoke the truth - and was a {gasp!} REPUBLICAN!!! They had to do whatever dirty, sleazy, politics necessary in order to take him out. I have also read many reports where lots of people were calling Herman Cain an "Uncle Tom" or a "House N***er".

If it became a battle between Herman Cain and Obama, I'd obviously go with Herman Cain. But like I said, the {censored} all took care of that, so we'll never know.

A terrible shame what blacks in America have to put up with when they deviate from the democrat "plantation."

Whatever happened to the first two accusers? I guess they served their purpose without one shred of evidence. I think that Cain has learned that the left would see to it that there would be a new accuser for every week he stayed in the campaign. The left cannot afford for an unapologetic black Conservative to become president. I personally think Obama and his people were scared to death of Cain.

I'm not falling for the infidelity bit. After what was tried with Clarence Thomas, and now Cain, and how the black liberals and the democrat party will do anything to destroy a black conservative, I'm am not letting myself be duped. Really, all the dem.s have to do with a fully willing media is put out the accusation. That's it. They are going to try to knock out every candidate until they get the one they want, which is Romney. Then, they will be able to disarm him with health care and every other issue he has flipped on, and you know Romney will go squishy trying to appease the so call moderate independents.

The democrats go to bed every night with the media, and you know they must laugh themselves to sleep...right after the gratify one other.

Right and Obama wants us to pay what is fair. It sure isn't fair when I have to pay for those that don't.

I liked Cain, too bad just goes to prove that we do live in glass houses.

I am still not sure about all of Cain's 999 plan and agree that he had some weaknesses on foreign policy issues. However, what he did bring to the debates and campaigns was somebody who honestly wanted to fix the things that were broken, cut back on spending, balance the budget and reduce the deficit. In doing so, he managed to elevate the discourse of the debates and helped force the other candidates to actually talk about conservative values, issues and solutions. He didn't fluctuate in the center-left to center-right arena that both Romney and Gingrich are dwelling in and managed to bring more gravitas to the race than Santorum, Huntsman, Bachman and Paul. He made the Republican debates far more interesting than they would otherwise be and that in itself was worth the price of admission.

I too find it a little disturbing that the first 2 accusers kind of disappeared and happen to think that stuff should be looked into more closely. Not for the primary purpose of proving Cain did something wrong (although that's a collateral casualty purpose) but to ensure that the media isn't just muckraking without proof (i.e. libel). Libel by itself is never good but the thought of any media using it to falsely influence a presidential campaign is something that should be a crime in and of itself. People should make their own choice but it should not be determined by the media publishing false accusations (if that is the case). Now if the accusations are true, then the media actually did serve their purpose which is to inform the public.
