That ad that pops up with the slogan "Do you like free stuff" with a picture of an old guy with bad teeth holding a possum is plain weird to me. Sure doesn't make me want to click on it and see what it's about.

After starting my own website I became much more aware of advertising, what seems to work and what does not. That picture is awful, it is a very boring grey, the guy has skeevy teeth and just what is he doing with that possum to make him smile like that?? So I would agree it does not make one want to find out more.
On the other hand we are talking about it. And I sure as heck do not remember any other ad on this website! So go figure

Hmm....I guess ol' Granny Clampett would be turnin' over in her grave seein' how's all you folks cain't see that possum pie is on the menu ! And catchin' one...well...it's 'free meat'.... but seriously.....I never clicked it; too weird. The other one's downright pissin' me off....the one about the jerky supplies ? When I click on the 'quick links' tab to get to my 'subscriptions', the drop-down menu works just fine except when I click on 'Subscribed Threads', I go directly to the jerky ads. It's a nuisance ! So one I won't click on, and the other I jump out of as soon as I realize my error. The only difference is one's the fault of the advertiser, the other is the webmaster's....same result. Ain't readin' either one.
Ugh...I've heard of folks eating possum...had to cook it with potatoes to help soak up all the grease...dark, greasy meat...
A possum is a crawling buzzard...they'll eat most anything...nasty varmits.....

Nahh...possums have more self-respect. They do work for their food--they don't demand that taxpayers supply them with fresh meat, cell phones, and sattelite TV.
