Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default 3 U.S. students arrested amid Cairo protests (for throwing "firebombs" at police)

AP/CBS ^| 11/22/11
I certainly hope we got the better end of the deal in this exchange program. I can almost hear the pleas of their parents now, and some believe that OWS isn't astroturf. I think these three are about to find out how lucky they once were to be in the USA.

3 students arrested for throwing firebombs at the police in Cairo... I can’t imagine how many tax payer dollars this one will take to straighten out. Leave them there to serve out the sentence. You throw a firebomb at a cop here you go to jail. Do it over there and the same thing should happen.

Quote:
(CBS/AP) INDIANAPOLIS - Relatives and school officials said Tuesday they were working with U.S. officials to free three American college students arrested during protests in Cairo, where an Egyptian official said they were throwing firebombs at security forces.

An Egyptian official said the students were arrested on the roof of a university building near Tahrir Square. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because there was no authorization to speak to the media.
Quote:
A spokeswoman for the American University in Cairo identified the students as Luke Gates, 21, Derrik Sweeney, 19, and Gregory Porter, 19. They attend Indiana University, Georgetown University and Drexel University, respectively.

Morgan Roth said the three students had been held by Egyptian authorities since their arrest Monday night but she did not know whether they had been formally charged or what the charges might be. She said it wasn't unusual for American students to get "caught up" in Egyptian politics.

"There's a lot of very contagious passion right now," she said.
Students from the U.S. don't always realize what it's like to live in a country without free speech or other civil liberties, and sometimes are motivated to work to change those conditions, she said.
Both quotes are from the same article link in the original post. Hard to believe.

What are they doing there in the first place? Getting a taste for being an AQ operative? These are kids what the heck are their parents thinking for allowing them to be over there.

Okay so three Americans with rich, indulgent parents are going to school in Egypt. But why are they participating in a demonstration against the Egyptian government? It doesn't concern them.

Why would anyone want to go to school over there much less even visit? It is the earth's anus area where all that black decomposed stuff comes out. The savages that inhabit that piece of desolate tract are nothing more than TP.

Kinda like gay marriage doesn't concern republiCONS? hmmm.

Or republicant's with healthcare wanting to deny healthcare to those poorer without healthcare.

I wish people stayed out of what doesn't concern them... Ron Paul's the only republican I know that thinks this way, everyone else wants their nose in your business, taking away rights, taxing the poor more, no pensions, no healthcare, what else can the rich take away from the poor? serfdom is what they want...
