Default Mexico Invaded By Wild Hogs From Texas

Is this poetic justice or what?

"We must get rid of these European wild boars because they sleep overnight on US soil during the day and cross over to the Mexican side to feed," Ignacio Legarreta, a state official, told local media.

Good luck with getting rid of 50k hogs. Western NY state has an estimated poulation in the hundreds and they are increasing at an alarming rate even though the F&W has said shoot them 7x24X365. Once they get chased they get smart.

Don't forget the walmart parking lots. Lots of big ones there.

We take the girls to an all-you-can-eat buffet now and then so they get a chance to sample lots of different kinds of food.

Whoa, you can see some real porkers there. And they go back for seconds and thirds with loaded plates. Sheeesh!

We have a wild hog problem here too. I think they've declared an open season on them in certain counties. Not too many around here.

I mis-quoted the number in NY which correctly numbers in the hundreds but is still out of control. Your numbers in Mich are in the thousands according to what I read. I have a sister who for some strange reason has a pot bellied pig that was supposed to stay small but ballooned up to 150 pounds plus. (too many chips and pizza just like the owners). It outgrew the house and was confined to a family members barn. Now it is rooting all over the barn yard and the farm owner wants it gone. They are so destructive.

I bet those pot-bellied pigs taste even better than the commercially raised varieties...a 22 between the eyes will resolve the issue.

These are poor defenseless animals that ought to have federal protection. They are just trying to eat after all, the same as any other animal.

Didn't think I could write that with a straight face!

Feral pigs are also becoming a problem here in Arizona. It is open season on them here.
