Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default So Greece defaulted last week, what's next?

Greece defaulted on its loans last week and other countries aren't far behind. In the meantime, this idiotic super committee only wants to raise taxes and not deal with our spending problem.

What happens next?

OK, so I'm listening to THE WORLD on PRI at work tonight. I was busy so I didn't catch it all. What I did catch is that after all of the wrangling that's been going on to try and bail Greece out, it would appear that the Greek PM isn't happy with the plan. He's calling for a referendum of the Greek people to vote whether or not to accept the bail out or not!!!

As I understand it the Greek economy is a relatively small part of the EU. I think the EU should just let Greece default, and send them on their merry way.

It would seem that the EU would be better off without them!!!

Well, default then either has or then will happen. Greece in this bail about packed agreed to 50 cents on the dollar going back to the creditors of its bonds. That means they defaulted. Now they don't like that deal and goingto let the people decide? Oh well, it's going to get much worst for them.

The Eu should abandon them as if they were on their own little island.

WHY does the "Greek Problem" have so much sway over OUR economy? Last week, the stock market gained several hundred points on news that the Europeans had reached some kind of bailout. Today, we lost all those gains on news that the Greeks aren't happy with the plan. Thousands of years ago, the Greeks had some considerable influence on the world. Today, they are essentially a cup of warm whale pizz in the ocean.

Seems like the market goes through great spasms over every little tidbit of news. Butterfly flaps its wings in Mexico. Dow gains 300 points. Gnat farts in Madagascar. Dow loses 300 points. It's ridiculous, and I believe is done solely for the purpose of churning folks' accounts in order to create brokerage revenues....

Perhaps you may want to ask Corzine that question IPSC.
