Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Paul does have some good positions.

In addition to cutting 1 trillion of spending now, the student loan program needs to end.

The more I hear about this person the more I like him. I still don't think he'll get elected, but his chances increase the longer he stays in it.

His problem is that he is a nut on foreign policy and national security.

Yep... Can't support a guy who says, in essence, "Nukes for Iran? No big deal. They can have them. They're a sovereign nation just like we are..."

And that's the beginning and the end of it for me with this guy.
Nukes for Iran is WORSE than handing a monkey a hand-grenade...at least the chimp has no malice aforethought....

RP is prob my favorite candidate,

but no student loans? what's the answer? private loans? cheaper/free college?

as for the nukes, I think his point is, who is the US to tell another country what it can do? I think he even said how would we like another nation telling us we couldn't have nukes? he's all about staying out of people's own business. I don't think he supports it/wants them to have them, but he thinks why are we the big bully telling them they can't have them or else!

Well, that cat has been out of the bag for nearly seven decades... He can make that "point" but, it presumes all nations to be "equals," and, sorry, but, we're not.

Iran is a country run by irrational dirt-bags whose goals include the extermination of certain of our allies. Anyone who thinks it is OK to have nuclear weapons in the hands of Iranis is irrational. He can be all about "staying out of people's own business" up until the point that it becomes a threat to us and to our allies...

I agree with IP on the nukes....RP's position would be valid if all things were equal, but they're not. Iran is run by irrational dirt monkeys who make no bones about starting a world conflagration as soon as they have viable weapons. Very UN-like what we do here in the USA.

I did not know about his student loans position...maybe, being a libertarian, he wants people to fund their own education ? Not EVERYONE used to go to college...and before all the loans for school, people paid for a college education or they did not go to college. It's not a 'right'...you have the freedom to decide to go...and you have the liberty to pursue the means to acquire that education, but why would anyone have to pay for your education ? Maybe private loans are the way...seems libertarian to me...personal responsibility and all. Free college ? Don't be absurd...nothing's free...even if the taxpayers paid for it, it's not 'free' because SOMEBODY has to pick up the tab. If his foreign policy appeals to you, maybe his domestic policy is a bit wanting ?

Iran wouldn't do anything with nuke anyways. If they ever tried anything close to that extreme they would be blown off the map by about 20 different countries.

You are approaching this with the mind of a westerner. Ahmedinijad is a '12er' or a proponent of the coming of the 12th imam. For this to happen, there has to be a world conflagration which would bring this imam to the world. His PURPOSE is to create a conflagration, and the more death, damage and destruction, the more effective his efforts at precipitating the 12th Imam. Just look at the middle east now....the Arab spring is nearing completion of what is hoped to become a 'world caliphate' which would also help facilitate the arrival of the 12th Imam. That's the muslim equivalent of the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ. I'd rather not test the waters on that one, if you don't mind. I believe Iran will do EXACTLY what it says it will do. Do not forget that the ape running that country as president, was part and parcel of the band of savages which took the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and took the embassy staff hostage for 400+ days. He was one of them and here we are, having to look this pig in his face. Iran must be thwarted, if not diplomatically, then with thermonuclear 'resolution'...one way or the other.

The thought process here, is to launch a massive attack against Israel. If the result is a world conflagration, they win in the arrival of the 12th Imam. If they lose, they are all martyrs for islam...for them, it's a win-win situation. I'd rather make them martyrs, personally.
