Default Budget Cuts $$

How much more do we pay troops for combat pay vs. standard?

And why do we pay troops more in the 1st place? I think ron paul would agree.

Do firefighters earn more if they fight a fire that week? do police earn more if they do something that week?

I'm sick of discounts, etc... for simply paying people to do their jobs.

There isn't a draft, no one is forced to join the military, or become a fire fighter, or a police officer, or a doctor, or a lawyer, or an engineer.

Teacher discounts.

What's next, discounts for being an illegal?

Btw the president gets a military discount? for being commander in chief?

What budget cuts? Spending increased this year over last year. There was no budget cuts. Never are.

Why do people get paid for working overtime, working on weekends, working on holidays, etc.? Why do people get travel pay, comp pay for food, lodging, etc. when away from home?

My bet is you know zilch about military service.

Not enough of either one. Have you ever heard of the saying..... With great risk comes great reward????? Too bad this does not apply to the armed forces. They risk all, mostly for the love of their country.

Unless you have volunteered to put your life on the line to protect dip ****s like yourself so they can spew vile trash about subjects they haven't a clue about you need to shut the **** up.

Until you have been shot at, blown up, seen friends blown up, carried the dead bodies of your friends, etc... etc... you need to shut the **** up.

Until you go over there and fight an enemy in a place where you don't even know who the enemy is..... 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, constantly on guard for the next cowardly attack you need to shut the **** up.

Have you ever looked at the pay scale for active duty enlisted military. Of course not, because if you had you wouldn't be asking such a stupid assed question and would hve kept your ****ing mouth shut.

I get so damn tired of stupid ****s like yourself mouthing off about what the military does or does not do or how they get paid. Maybe you should volunteer to take your sorry ass over there and serve as a human shield for the enemy.

Basically you need to shut the **** up.

I can't stand the sight of my panty waisted, hard core left wing, every body wins, distribute wealth, health care for every one, POS brother but at least he had the balls enough to serve in the armed forces before he became one. You, on the other hand, I bet wouldn't be able to get through a week of boot camp.

I received a whopping $200/month in "Imminent Danger Pay" back in 2003/4, plus another $60/month "Separation Pay" for missing all those family events you probably take for granted.

Interesting, my Servicemembers' life insurance was increased to $400,000 while I was there too. Still short of what the lowest-compensated 9/11 victims' families were granted. Of course, there was a small difference - I had to pay a small portion for my insurance, while victims paid in - what's your guess? That's right, nothing.

Uh, newsflash for you Sal. If you don't like anyone receiving a discount, then take the sign down from your business offering it. It's not a requirement, y'know? That's IF you own a business to be able to offer it in the first place.

You probably haven't done anything of consequence in your life to be worthy of any kind of recognition, whether that be through a discount or simply an acknowledgement from your community, have you? Simply put - you're JEALOUS!

An additional $225 a month.

And why do we pay troops more in the 1st place? I think ron paul would agree.
Because they are in a much higher risk area, are defending the rest of us (including you and Ron Paul) and congress and the President signed this into law.

No.

Your opinion.

There isn't a draft, no one is forced to join the military, or become a fire fighter, or a police officer, or a doctor, or a lawyer, or an engineer.
Correct.

Teacher discounts.
I believe teachers get some educational discounts for items they might/could use in a classroom. I'm not sure what other discounts you may be referring to.

What's next, discounts for being an illegal?
Your party and President are already taking care of that.

Btw the president gets a military discount? for being commander in chief?
Good questions. I don't know the answers to these.

Yeah...>FREE<....is that enough of a discount ? Cripes...'cept it's not free 'cause I keep seeing a few thou' out of each check before I get my hot little hands on it....

That's the price we Combat Veterans charge for eating lead.. I made an extra 50 whole freaking dollars a month for combat pay in Viet Nam heck I was only making 350.00 a month as a buck sergeant to start with. With missions in Laos and Cambodia with the understanding that if I were killed that country my government didn’t know who I was… YOU TELL ME THAT IS TOO MUCH. OH, don't get me started!!!!! This one I'll fight till the cows go dry!

BTW, I have two purple hearts and I earned every bit of that 50 freaking dollars a month.

That's because most of them Puss's have never been in combat. They like other people to protect them while they sit on the A$$eS watching t.V. stuffing their face with chips and beer.
