Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

I'll wait to be jubilant until the whole debacle is repealed. Otherwise, this is a good first step in the Right direction.

it doesn't wipe out anything. It only shows the truth of what the conservatives were telling you. It's a budget killer. The entire bill just like single payer systems are. There isn't a single single payer system that is working, anywhere. Those that call for it want it just so someone else pays their bills. Go figure. As a collective, we refer to them as parasites. As individuals, they are ticks!

Single payer is the worst case scenario.

It takes the competition out of the market, introduces a (forced) monopoly.
Reduces quality of care. Introduces forced rationing of care, its inevitable with single payer Sal.
After a time, we will run out of money, as we already are seeing with Medicare\Medicade.

We already have a Health Care system that is the envy of the world. If we didn't, Foreign Dignitaries would stay home for their medical treatment.

Sal wants his neighbor to pay his bills.. He's just too chicken to walk next door and ask for the check each month. So he hides behind Uncle Sam and his guns while ol' Sammy knocks on the door and steals the money at gun point.

I want the poor to have access to healthcare, I want preventative maintenance, not wait til you get aids or stage 4 cancer to go to the er for treatment, leaving the rest of us with paying the more expensive er bills.

people put off seeing a doctor do to cost, plain and simple, and that should NEVER be the case!

we're the only nation in the world that has a for profit healthcare system.

and believe it or not some rich republicans daughter is gonna get aids because she slept with a guy with aids who didn't know it who didn't go to the doctor and would have found out sooner.

I want a healthier society, you'd rather have the republican healthcare plan...

ie...

don't get sick, and if you do, die quickly/cheaply.

Do you have homeowner's insurance?

A fire department?

In your scenario when your house burns down, you can pay to rebuild it yourself, no fire dept, no insurance,

ie insurance.... a group comes together for a lowered rate... ie my house probably won't burn down but if it does everyone chips in to rebuild it,

Looks like they should have read the bill before they passed it.

Sal, Maybe I misunderstood the single payer part, but would'nt you be required to have coverage? I can choose not to have fire coverage if I choose.

Sal you want to shirk your responsibility to pay for your own medical bills.
A for profit treatment system provides competition, and increases care standards. Failure for a doctor to provide good care leads to them not being in business long. Same for every other business.

WE are in the mess we are in because of LIBERAL do gooders. Who "only want whats best", and can't, don't or won't stop to consider that "whats best" is often doing nothing.
We have the skyrocketing prices because the gooberment stuck its fingers into private enterprise, again.

Sal, think. I implore you. Think, for a change.
The Government is not your friend.
