I can't see him ever getting the nod, but I would love it if he did.

If that is your take, then feel even better about Cain. I think he makes Obama look like a diaper dumper.

I think he has a chance. I admit that it is just better than a snowballs chance, but I think it could happen. I am not impressed with Romney, and I don't think many real conservatives are either. I think Cain would have a chance if the media would give him some coverage. I'd like to see some long debates between Cain and Romney. I kind of wish everyone else would just drop out. I like Newt a lot, but I'd be surprised if he took the lead.

Why even waste any time with sal? He is a drone who can't answer a question of respond to his misstatements. He's a troll who has stayed too long. Go back and do something else for the DNC

I say a no. His 999 plan which is pretty much all he has....is being talked about quite a bit and it is nothing more than a concept or theory and economists say it just doesn't add up. They say that the poor and lower middle class will be the most to suffer from this way to tax. The rich will have a much smaller tax bill going from 35% to 9% and the people who presently aren't paying any tax will be paying 9%. That won't get him elected especially since he is looking to that lower class as his base. Romney will be the nominee and either Christie or Gingrich will be the #2 spot. Romney can beat Obama and therefore will get my vote. Then again still lots of time before it is a done deal.

I know you claim to be an independent so why don't you try and act like one. Investigate the 999 plan yourself. Don't let others tell you what it will do. Fyi, the poor workers in America pay 15% today so a 9% bill would be lower.

Fyi, America wastes 400 billion every year complying with our tax filing every April 15.

I am an Indi and learn quite a bit from my research which I use to base my political choices. I vote for people and what they represent rather than a party which in many ways reminds me of a top heavy union. The poor…and I will qualify that as people working and often making much more than minimum wage presently don’t pay any tax. The super rich …people who gain most of their income from capitol gains and off shore investments pay little due to the loop holes that have been conveniently placed in the tax system. The hard working blue collar working couple pay the brunt of the taxes percentage wise and fall into that 15% bracket and up. When you are working for the man there aren’t many ways to eliminate or reduce taxes. I know all about taxes FM and I know many of the ways to limit them all perfectly legal.

While I admire Herman Cain's accomplishments in the private sector that does not necessary mean they will translate in to the public sector. We need a president who is knowledgeable about how private business functions and how the government works.

I to am not thrilled with Romney. I was reading some of his positions earlier today. He supports the Brady Bill, supports an assault weapons ban and supports abortion in the case of r/i/hom. These are very difficult issues for me to get past especially the abortion stance. But if push came to shove I would vote for Romney instead of Obama any time.
