Default Sarah says "no."

Probably not news to you by now, but Sarah has decided not to run.

It would have been a mistake for her to run. Unfortunately she is "damaged goods" and she would not have won the nomination. At least I do not think so.

I think she is just perfect where she is. A thorn in the side of every Democrap alive.
She is a good fund raiser, because of her imperfections. She comes off as a real person (In my opinion).

ahem, I seem to recall somebody saying she wasn't running a month ago or more...

no surprise there...she never was, never would, never is...big surprise.

I don't know Sconny, she strikes me as anything "but" real. Hey, has Bristol decided not to run yet? IMO every Democrat on the planet not only wanted her to run for the Republican Nomination, they wanted her to win it. My guess is, she couldn't get near enough people to throw away their money on backing her. I guess the bus ride pulled up a little short on donations.

Bristol is too busy promoting "abstinence"

That would be my guess. I doubt that any debate she entered would be good for her "allure".

If she runs and doesn't get the nomination - she's consigned to history.

If she gets the nomination and loses to Obama (again) she's consigned to history with no credibiity.

It's better for her to not run that risk and retain some critical influence.

I'd say she's in a position that's good for her. She has influence, a good job, good income and can help position people she believes in. A lot of people like to bag on her but she succeeded in energizing conservatives and riling up liberals. Not too bad for a day's work.

always liked Sarah....before the McCain/Obama debacle last go-round, I knew about her and thought she'd make a great president. She's not lived up to expectations and I agree with the poster(s) who assert she's in the perfect place where she can raise money for the repubs, push the candidates she likes, and gives the libscum of the world a stroke every time she opens her mouth. All Palin's candidacy has proven, is that the National Organization for Women is a hollow sham...there are those who already knew this, but recent events put it out there incontrovertibly so that even Stevie Wonder can see it.....

I think Palin is pretty bright and pretty politically savvy. She's sensible and realistic enough to know she can't win the nomination, unlike some out there, Ron Paul comes to mind, and will serve as a "thorn in the side of the Democrats." Thanks Sconnyhunter.
