The US got Anwar al Awlaki in an airstrike.

Al-Awlaki would be the most prominent al-Qaida figure to be killed since Osama bin Laden's death in a U.S. raid in Pakistan in May. In July, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said the Yemeni-American was a priority target alongside Ayman al-Zawahri, bin Laden's successor as the terror network's leader.

The 40-year-old al-Awlaki had been in the U.S. crosshairs since his killing was approved by President Barack Obama in April 2010 — making him the first American placed on the CIA "kill or capture" list. At least twice, airstrikes were called in on locations in Yemen where al-Awlaki was suspected of being, but he wasn't harmed.

Also, an interesting take...Al Alwaki (or whatever the f his name is) was a United States Citizen. This is the reason why FOX brings up the valid point that the should have been 'taken' instead of killed. This represents the first time a U.S. citizen was targeted for death by the government of the United States. Not to put too fine a point on it...but I think he abrogated his citizenship when he decided to be a dirt monkey in Yemen.

FOX is full of crap as a Christmas turkey. It's easy for the armchair soldiers on FOX to talk this stuff. Yep, let's get some fine special operations folks killed while attempting to capture an international terrorist who happens to hold US citizenship. It does not matter what citizenship a terrorist happens to be: He should be taken out in Afghanistan, Yemen or Aspen, CO.

The death of this scumbag sends a sharp message to those terrorists who are US citizens.
