According to the people in Florida the only one who can beat out Obama. Wouldn't that be poetic justice to have Obama sent packing by an articulate black. ....who can make a mean pizza.

the funny thing would be, the vast majority of blacks followed a DEM Obama in voting him in, and they'd switch their votes in a heartbeat to Cain and follow him as well, even though he's a Republican
proving of course, that the votes are only based on skin color, and have nothing to do with the core platform beliefs of the party they're voting for

unreal
I'm not sure about that. I have already heard him being discounted, by people of color, as a house @#$%$@ or an Uncle Tom.

Interesting the way the GOP candidates are shaking out. I saw just the end of the Thursday night debate and didn't stay up for the pundits spin on who did the best. I had a 4:30 wake up for the marathon fishing on Friday and needed the sleep. Bachman seems to be done and stick a fork in it and Gingrich seems to be a smart guy but is spending too much time and debate time poking back at the people asking stupid questions. I have to say I am not all that impressed with Perry especially since he is always aiming at his big time rival Romney and appears clumsy and doesn't seem to get the upper hand. Romney is smooth as silk but I wonder if he would be a better used car salesman that POTUS. I think I'll start to call him Teflon Mitt since nothing sticks to him. Cain answers all the questions and is very articulate but after hearing him a few times he seems solid on the few positions he takes but at least to me lacks depth on anything other than what he has canned. His straw poll win in Florida surprised me and who knows how he will stand up against Perry and Romney. I suppose a tactic might be to stand idly by and watch both of the front runners rip each other apart then put your best foot forward. I expected that was what Bachman and Palin were waiting for. If Palin hasn't come into the race at this point I doubt that we will see her. If 2012 comes down to Cain vs Obama…..I will know that the white minority has actually occurred. Not from a population number but from a control factor. For that reason alone I don’t see Cain winning the nomination.

I haven't. Followed the candidates too much,
Know enough about perry/romney not to like them,
Cain, what I like is not a seasoned politician, didn't build his career off the taxpayers, seems to be an american sucess story,
Stance on issues seem to be ok, although no details yet,
It is campaign season so will take what they say. With a grain of salt.
So far my vote will swing towards cain.
1: if Romney gets the nod, I will vote for him...he is polished and seems to have
some business sense.
2: If Perry gets the nod, I will vote for him.....he is GETTING polished and has some
executive experience
3: if Herman Cain gets the nod, I will vote for him...he seems to be the only guy who's
quoting facts and figures, and talking specifics about the things he is concerned
with.
Romney has health care from Ma hanging around his neck like a albatross.
Perry has multiple issues, all of which seem to be democrat talking points...and he IS a convert from the democrat party
Cain needs depth, admittedly, but because he's not a lib or a dem, blacks will lambaste him as Unkl Tom, House N----r, etc. He will not get the nod, but I would vote for him if he did.
BAsically, I would vote for a blue-azz monkey rather than see obama get another 4 years, and while I'd like to see the best candidate put his foot forward, I will say there are no longer any qualifications for the job as of the last presidential election. I will vote republican. No matter what. My personal choice....I'd vote for Gingrich as the sole 'true' conservative but he's got no shot; so I will vote for Romney as he's less the democrat than Perry is, and he's got the best statistical chance to unseat dopey.
