Default Morgan Freeman is an idiot

this is rich....because REAL Americans want to shake a rat socialist from our necks, this idiot makes a claim of racism....

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sh...#ixzz1YnWDliVr

I think it's a racist calling thinking, conservative Americans names.
He wants to be politically active, and cannot even name the senate minority leader in a political forum... Black racism runs rampant in this country I guess.....he's gonna have a stroke in 11/2012 'cause that empty suit is gonna be shown the door by the American electorate..

So according to Freeman I should vote for O'Bama to prove I'm not a racist?

The guy is a good actor. I enjoy his movies. But a thinker he's NOT.

I feel a little guilty. The time I wasted listening to his drivel is time from my life that I'll never get back.

He should have been put in jail for all the times he raped his step granddaughter. Oh yea, it was ok because he didnt admit it until she was 17.

I'm sure there probably are some Americans who don't want Obama as President because he's black; however, the KKK has a dwindling membership and are not widely regarded as politically powerful or even savvy. A lot of conservatives have previously expressed interest in other well known black figures running for President (Condi and Walter come to mind immediately).

I happen to agree that Morgan Freeman is a talented actor and I always enjoy his movies. Morgan should remember that somebody else writes the scripts in those movies and, at the end of the day, the movies are fictional and for entertainment only (although occasionally a movie is made to espouse some social commentary).

In evaluating this interview, Morgan doesn't seem to know the name of Mitch McConnell but that's possibly due to age, he doesn't regularly follow McConnell's career or he just couldn't remember the exact name. It's fun to jab him with the memory lapse but it doesn't prove anything relative to his argument.

People can argue that Obama is also half white as some sort of 50% argument against the accusation of racism but that's really so much semantics and doesn't prove or disprove racism either.

I remember being a little bummed that McCain lost the election but I honestly was not impressed with McCain anyway and regarded him as a moderate liberal and thought he was "Independent" only in his mind. I was kind of jazzed that our country had elected a black (or half black if that's your perspective) man as President and was hopeful that he would start to put racism behind in our country and move us forward. I didn't agree with his economic ideas and proposals but hoped he could at least do something positive for the country.

To date, Obama has failed miserably in just about every aspect of his Presidency. His administration is not transparent and open compared to President Bush's and is actually worse in these respects. Obama certainly has not "fixed" our economy and recession (or depression if you prefer) and acts like some petulant teenager blaming somebody else for a problem that he was apparently hired to fix. The Fast and Furious debacle is a scary example of a government that is just completely out of touch and dangerously stupid to boot. Obama's economic woes with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and his incompetent Treasury Secretary Geithner simply scream ignorance and incompetence. Obama's green energy connections and expenditures honestly smell like corruption and more incompetence. His proposals to increase taxes on the rich because they are not paying as much tax as their secretaries makes you want to question his basic intelligence and competence. Whoever he has designated to do his fact checking should be fired for either gross incompetence or outright dishonesty.

There are a lot of issues (including the above ones) that honestly need to be fixed if our country is going to rein in spending, substantially reduce our debt and create a growing and prosperous economy. Sadly, Obama and his advisers do not appear to be capable of accomplishing that. Obama appears to be stuck in some kind of permanent campaign mode, his advisers are obviously not up to the job and several of his more vocal supporters are hung up on some idiotic idea that speaking about Obama's incompetency or wanting to vote him out is somehow just a racist conspiracy.

It's too bad because Obama had a tremendous opportunity that he has bungled badly. It's neat that our country elected its' first black President as that is definitely a milestone and testament to the genuine opportunities in our country. Unfortunately for Obama, a President's top priority (and job) is in moving our country forward effectively, resolving problems and maintaining our opportunities for all of our citizens and legal immigrants.

These opportunities in our country are apparently something that Morgan Freeman doesn't understand even though he is living proof of the same wonderful opportunities in this country, regardless of race, nationality, religion or any of those other distinguishing items that people sometimes get hung up on. In short, voting Obama out has nothing to do with race. Or put another way as seen on billboards during Clinton's Presidency, "It's the Economy, ...Deleted by CalHunter..."

I was in a riot in 1968 rather not say where, but for years I hated all black people when I saw them beat to death people only because they were white. Took me a long time to put that behind me, and idiotic statements like that bring back bad, bad memories and makes it very hard for me trust a black man! Call me a racist, I don’t care!

Morgan should stick to acting. Most actors follow that career path because they can't do a real job.

I respect actors because they are masters of a craft that is neither easy, nor does it guarantee success. This moron has risen to the pinnacle of acting success, being a well-liked and respected actor. Unfortunately, people only know him thru the lines he mouths which were written by someone else...and Mr.Freeman's ability to deliver those lines from a character he has created from a script. His entire persona, the personality that most people have come to like, is a lie, plain and simple. MOrgan Freeman is just another whining black racist, bemoaning the negligence and incompetence of a black 'Hero', aka Obama. He hates people's inability to look past the numerous failures and abject incompetence of this ersatz hero and support him just because it's the right thing to do. Screw Mr.Freeman. I believe the American people have risen above racism, as is evidenced by the election of this piece of garbage to the highest office in the land...an election that REQUIRED white participation to succeed because there are just not enough black racists in this country to elect Obama. The folks who opposed Obama saw thru the 'trust me' rhetoric and saw him for what he is, a socialist, racist neophyte with roots both in 1960's radical leftist ideology, and militant black supremist/separatist hatred. This is not racism, as many blacks, Mr.Freeman included, are wont to say. These are patriots who made a decision based on content, not form. There are precious few people in this country who are unaware of the black struggle for equality and a piece of the American pie to allow for some schmuck to accuse the president's detractors of being racists. Mr.Freeman should be denied the forum that allows him to spew his trash.

I will predict two things:
1: a conservative black candidate will never succeed
2: any other black candidate, from any party, will never succeed in our lifetimes.

THe one I attribute to black activists who depend on the subjugation of American blacks to the government aid system, to ever allow an independently conservative black man to try to hold office...he'd be labelled all the racist names most blacks abhor. And the other, i attribute to the 'once burned, twice educated' theory; Americans will NEVER forget the incompetence and racism exhibited by this administration in general, and by blacks in particular. THey'll NEVER select another black man to run this country, simply on the memory of what the current idiot has done here. Remember David Dinkins.....

And to the REV, I can understand completely. It seems to me that growing up in an all-white blue-collar environment as I did, certainly formulated my views on class and race. I overcame those views on class, but not on race, for each time I put my racial views 'on hold' or for 'the greater good', the behavior of blacks themselves has been the determining factor in my racist recidivism. While I always look to see past racist views, and afford everyone the courtesy, respect and opportunity to endear, I see riots, I see blacks. I see an incompetent worker who happens to be black, and I hear how white people are victimizing them. I see a white guy get promoted over a black guy...it's because he's white, not because of superior demonstrated skills. I hear about welfare fraud and abuse...I remember the filth, alcohol consumption, and drug abuse of the Bronx as I walk thru an all-black neighborhood thinking I had 'beamed into' another universe.
Seems to me, that there are some who will call this racist thinking. So be it...if that's what this is, then I am a racist and will never be anything other than a racist. I offer the challenge to blacks to overcome the stereotype. And they never do...ever. Oh sure once in a while I meet a black man or woman who shows how wrong I can be...and I always find they are conservatives whether they know it or not, and very traditional thinkers. But this is the exception rather than the rule. Perception is reality and I know I did not dream this stuff up...and I've not seen black behavior in general, repudiate my biases.
So when I see Morgan Freeman, aping a human being in front of the cameras, I just think that it's another black racist bemoaning the inability of his hero to perform to his expectations. I say, welcome to my world.

I disagree on one thing. I think eventually America will elect a conservative black man as President. I can see a time coming when more people of all colors align themselves as liberals, moderates or conservatives first instead of their color or race. There are already a majority of people who think that way and are part of the silent majority. Given the current irresponsibility and just plain stupidity in the White House, Congress, both parties, the media and other establishment figures, that time is getting closer.

All of these groups despise and fear the Tea Party. What they don't publicly talk about or acknowledge is the Tea Party is showing that silent majority that they can change things for the better and they do have a voice if they choose to use it. And that is the single most dangerous concept in America--Freedom to elect responsible leaders and throw irresponsible ones out of office.

You got that right! The only reason you have not heard more of it is due to the fact that the "main stream" media is totally invested in Obama.
