does anyone have this video of the ma gettin 3 years probation, and people are pissed, they want heads to roll. My dad was 6'7" 325 lbs...i assure you, hot sauce and cold showers were because we were good. i laugh about this, but figured maybe i should see the video, cause i mean she could be whackin him in the head with a glass pace picante sauce jar and i dont know it.

Oh hell.....my mother was 100% Sicilian and had a fuse as short as they come. Hot sauce and cold showers would have put us on easy street....we drove her crazy and in return, she'd pick up whatever was handy (and I mean WHATEVER was handy) and wale away on our worthless hides. Hot sauce....that's a condiment for cripes sakes.....

I have a suspicion that a video of mama giving me a whipping might have had the audience bawling too. I probably got less than one a year, but, believe me, they were painful. I did get the message though.
Her method is a little weird though and weird doesn't do it for me. Also, and I've said this before, you don't discipline your children while you're angry.

1: I Wish mama had that sort of direction when she was raising
my brothers and I.
2: If societal norms were the same in the early 60's as they are
now, mama would just be comin' up for parole.

right on..i can remember gettin the littlest switch in the whole yard...yeah i know, thats when i learned you are better off gettin a piece of firewood...and momma helpin me wash the bloody welts all over my legs, scrotum and back...yeah she did get my backside a couple times.....i know i know, i should sat still huh?

For sure if I had shown anyone at school the welts mama left on me, protective services would have been after her with torches and pitchforks.
But I knew she was my mama and she loved me and anything she did was because she loved me. There was no way that I was going to show anyone those welts.
