What happens to the rich when nobody has any money to purchase the products they are selling? They are slitting their own throats (and Americas) by attacking the middle class.
Sorry it aint going to happen. Why are the rates the set they way they are HD? You prefer a job don't you? That requires investments right? Also, since the 1960s the revenue into the treasuries has been around 18% no matter what the tax rate was and it was very high all the way to 90%. Why was that? Rich find better things to do with their money than to risk it for uncle sam.

I don't think the rich are attacking the middle class. I believe it's the liberal socialists. The rich, in general, have enough money to deal with the economic drain imposed by the socialists. It's the middle class that is taking the losses from their attack.

Good question. They have decimated the blue collar middle class by exporting high paying manufacturing jobs overseas. They have decimated white collar middle class by exporting customer call centers and clerical positions overseas (primarily to India). They are attacking the upper middle class by exporting high skilled and highly compensated engineering, science and computer jobs overseas. Their machinations in the housing markets caused the bubble which resulted in the crash and impoverishment of many Americans. It is clear that BOTH parties aided and abetted the rich in their attack.
But you have no facts on your side. We have had decades of the middle class diappearing into the upper class.
There was considerable income mobility of individuals in the U.S. economy during the 1996 through 2005 period as over half of taxpayers moved to a different income quintile over this period.
Roughly half of taxpayers who began in the bottom income quintile in 1996 moved up to a higher income group by 2005.
Among those with the very highest incomes in 1996 – the top 1/100 of 1 percent – only 25 percent remained in this group in 2005. Moreover, the median real income of these taxpayers declined over this period.
The degree of mobility among income groups is unchanged from the prior decade (1987 through 1996).
Economic growth resulted in rising incomes for most taxpayers over the period from 1996 to 2005. Median incomes of all taxpayers increased by 24 percent after adjusting for inflation. The real incomes of two-thirds of all taxpayers increased over this period. In addition, the median incomes of those initially in the lower income groups increased more than the median incomes of those initially in the higher income groups.

Open your eyes for a moment because it sure as heck is happening.. It is happening faster than most could dream about. The rich is surely finding other ways to hide thier money rather than support the country that made it possible for them to get that rich. We will now tear this country down so that no one can follow their path? Right?
