But remember: he will not rest until all Americans have jobs, affordable homes, green-energy vehicles, and the environment is repaired, etc., etc., etc.
While mostly correct, he was not the first President to violate the War Powers Act. Bill Clinton was. He was not as blatant as Obama has been, but he made several infractions. Kosovo being the biggest, and most blatant violation with him continuing to openly bomb Kosovo for two weeks after the 60 day deadline came to pass.
Clinton was a more frequent violator, but he did so in a less open and aggressive manner. He also complied with the War Powers Act shortly after the deadline, or made it appear that the initial start date for some conflicts with US involvment were later than they actually were. He was a true con artist in how he played things.

Well I can't disagree there, Clintoon did stain the oval office.
ipscshooter: Another fact you may wish to investigate with an eye towards extending your list. Obama may be the first US president to refuse to sell a weapons system to Taiwan because of concern about what mainland China might think about that.
Now in my judgment China has a rightful claim on Taiwan and one day Taiwan will return within the formal boundaries of China. Also, in my judgment we have better things to spend our money on and interests more vital to our national security than keeping Taiwan free from China. Still . . . this is a first, and I know there are plenty of people who DO NOT agree with my views on this and who will view this as a very chicken 5hit thing to do. This is a fairly big change in long standing US foreign policy. I say chalk it up in his firsts column and we can debate good versus bad policy later.
Do check the veracity of this statement, however. Maybe this is just at the talking, trial balloon stage at this point and is not a done deal.
Here is a first left off. I heard this the other day. Obama is proposing to fuel our naval vessels with corn to get us energy independent. Only heard about it. Did investigate it yet.

We can barely produce enough corn consistently enough for normal commercial consumption plus the now required ethanol requirements. I guess it pays to listen to the ag news in the morning.
Not too mention that more and more of the vessels being made are energy independant. They use nuclear reactors after all.

Not true there Sfury. Yes there are several nuke powered ships out there but many many more remain powered via diesel.
