Default flight 93 info

They released information about flight 93 saying that the ragheads flew it into the ground when they were rushed by the passengers.
All the passengers are hero' s as far as I am concerned regardless of what happened. I know they tried to do something.
What I have never understood is how parts of the plane where found over 2 1/2 miles from the crash sight and the plane supposedly went in nose first. Anything is possible I guess.
I have heard the plane was shot down by one of the planes trying to intercept it etc., but the government doen' t want to admit it. It' s better to have the passengers as the hero' s they are.
Can anyone that was closer to the crash or has better information shed some light on this.
Believe me, I' m not trying to stir the pot, just want some informed ideas.

I believe that report is true. It is hard to imagine so many passengers wanting to die rather than trying to regain control and attempting to land it somewhere...

I agree with everyone thus far. I would think that the passengers tried their best to keep those A-holes from crashing into their target and killing more people. And just for conversation sake, If in fact the plane was shot down, and i heard that was the case and i believe it because of the goverment doing something and covering it up. Dont get me wrong please because i am a proud American and i love living here, i just dont care much for the goverment or at least on certain things anyway. I see the people in flight 93 as heros regardless of any rumor or stories saying it was the highjackers crashing rather then Americans doing so.

Regardless of who flew the plane into the ground--possibly nobody and it just crashed during a scuffle--some of the passengers are hero' s. They obviously DID intervene (let' s roll!) because, had they not, that plane would' ve flown into the White House or the Capitol.

DaveH,

I have heard that our fighters were within a few minutes of shooting it down, making it doubtful that it would have gotten much closer to targets in DC. Also, the passengers on the flight had been alerted via cellphone by people on the ground as to the two other planes crashing into the towers. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that they realized that they had to storm the cockpit if they wanted a chance to live, whereas the people in the first two planes may have believed any hijackers who might have led them to believe they were landing somewhere else and not crashing the plane and killing everybody.

Having said all this, I believe wholeheartedly that the passengers who rushed the cockpit are heroes. I got choked up when I heard the story of Todd Beamer and the others standing up to those ba$tards!

That' s right! They stood up against evil in an absolutely terrifying situation and made a difference.
I was thinking the other day about all the people on those planes. How it must have felt to make those calls to their loved ones on the ground, knowing they would probably never speak to them again. And about the people who made their calls, and then said goodbye so that a stranger, someone they didn' t know, could use their phone to call his/her loved ones. What an unselfish thing to do!
There were alot of heroes that day, regardless of the final details.
