Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

HOW FAR does this stone get to drop before our government takes steps to shore up the fiscal stability of the nation ? Right now, this ineptitude borders on criminality......

"Dead cat bounce?"

I don't think it is the government's job to muck with the markets.

Maybe your question is not directed at direct intervention in the stock market but instead applying a little diligence and wisdom to their behaviors that influence the markets and business generally?

How about announcing a moratorium on new business regulation? Some sort of declaration that there will be no new regulations imposed for 2 years? Maybe some sort of establishment of a committee to evaluate the ream of new regulations that have been rolled out over the last couple of years and unwinding some of them? Just the public announcement of this and a sincere follow-through would help. This would include unwinding that CAFE standard announcement a couple of weeks ago.

How about easing the restrictions on drilling off-shore and easing hurdles for other energy related projects, such as the pipeline from Canada to the US?

How about revisiting Obamacare and unwinding some of the onerous provisions of that?

Apparently it's going up again. I think I've figured out how to make a lot of money as an investment advisor.

I'm going to tell people to buy stocks when they go down. And then I'll tell them to sell the stocks when they go up. I'm surprised more people don't do this.

Buy low and sell high is the basic plan. Unfortunately the profits some smart investors make comes from the losses that others face.

The stock market is really like gambling I think. The people who make money, make it at the expense of those who lose money.
