Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Thank you Obama, thank you legislature

I am a happy camper today. The partisan rankling tanked the stock market. I don't believe the dive will last.

In the meantime I got the opportunity to purchase $20K of BTU (Peabody Energy) stock at the bottom of the barrel price of $43/share. I am relatively confident that I will be able to double my money and sell the stock within 1 year. I sold $20K worth of BTU at $66/share within the last year. It is a beautiful thing.

I purchased the shares while at the jury building. They had access to the internet. I was terrified that I wouldn't get my purchase order in. Thankfully everything worked out and I got my order in.

I have been called the smartest person on hunting.net by various people on this forum. I think this thread bears that out. Who was smart enough to have a supply of cash set aside? Who was smart enough to wait for the market implode? Who's going to cash in?

I believe that I have reached the point where can I saddle the energy sector of the market and ride it. If anybody would care to be the Tonto to my Kimosabe and ride the horse of prosperity, I am willing to dispense financial advice apriori. I will of course need a little taste of the action, say $1,000 per tip, but the rewards could be rich. I'll throw one in for free.... BTU will be at $80/share sometime in the next 12 months. I will stake my reputation here at huntingbbs on it.

My money is out there making money for me, what is yours doing?

The same. Some of us just do not gloat about it.

Most of my money is in precious metals and undeveloped real estate. God has stopped making both and the demand will become greater as time wears on.

Hmmm if you are only used to playing in $20k increments then I wouldn't pay for such "expertise"! I wouldn't recommend letting an R/C hobbyist work on your Rolls Royce... (ALL of the professional money managers I pay for discourage 100% exposure in the stock or any other single market for that matter)

Ummm, dude.... YOU called YOURSELF the smartest person on huntingnet. When other people call you the "self-proclaimed 'smartest person on huntingnet,'" the comment is oozing with sarcasm, and not meant as an endorsement.

I never called him that.....I've called him everything BUT that.
As a matter of fact, his post bears out all the OTHER titles I've bestowed upon him..... what a disgusting puke.

Here is what I wrote on another thread on 4-30 of this year. I missed my target buy price by only a few dollars. So I gave free advice back then, I guess nobody took it. I saw this downswing coming, it was just a matter of waiting for the burst.

I did as well. There were a few guys I know who got out and never got back in for the upswing. I was down a couple hundred thousand but I got that back and added another couple hundred thousand by not freaking out. I am now pulling some of my money out so that when the commodities bubble bursts, I can buy back in at cut rate prices. I am particularly interested in Peabody Energy (I have made about 40K on them alone over the last decade). If Peabody drops to less than 40 I will buy big into them.

Any and all stocks will be worthless when/if the entire system crashes. Truly smart people are stocking up on gold or land, not stocks and cash.

Slicendice,

You are wrong, dead wrong. If what you say happens, it is the people with guns who will come out on top. They will take all that gold and land you so scrupously stockpiled, over your quickly cooling body if necessary. You would be better off forming a militia of gun enthusiasts and if society crumbles, you and your band of brothers would be free to take what you want from who you want.
