Law enforcement discarding profiling makes about as much sense as hunters discarding profiling. "Hunters profiling?" What do I mean? When I go elk hunting, elk country is a mighty big place. I don't look for elk with the same scrutiny in all places of this elk country. I select preferred areas to hunt. Likewise, when I deer hunt, I hunt at selected areas. I have in the past -- but learned better -- hunted deer in a wide open, flat field. Guess what: deer don't spend much time during daylight hours walking through wide open, flat fields. Their instinct for self-preservation overrules that kind of foolishness. Does this mean a deer could NEVER be found in an open, flat field? No, but the odds are against it. If you have limited resources, you concentrate your forces on the high odds plays. So with law enforcement profiling.
It is brain dead, liberal foolishness to demonize and outlaw profiling.
