Ours is the only true socialist/ communist...the rest are just democrats. Independent Bernie Sanders. He has got to go but I was listening o a talk radio show yesterday and they said the guy has a 65 percent rating and is a shoe in for re-election. Probably won't even get a person from the GOp to run against him. I just don't get why people like this idiot.

Not exactly FM. This guy has been with us for decades. His first showing came when he was younger and won the mayoral contest for the city of Burlington which is Vt's largest. Up to that point the political establishment was primarily democrat but he came in so far left of that in a progressive party type affiliation. His demeanor and the people he surrounded himself with was a dramatic transformation. City Hall went from suits and ties to tie dyed shirts, shorts and shaggy unkempt hair. He remained in office until he decided to run for a US House seat. All those years in as mayor were due to the youth vote. He was anti establishment, pro union and the darling of the hippy pot smoking crowd. He still is anti business and very focused on personal rights as opposed to corporate rights. The senior citizen following came later and only because he is known as the savior and protector of the common man and his latest position about Social Security falls in line with that mentality. He will fight until the cows come home to keep every type of welfare and social program going. When he ran for Congress he started to wear a tie. Up to that point he was still a burned out hippy with long unruly white hair.

She missed class that day. She was busy trying to figure out why African names were under-represented when naming Atlantic Hurricanes.
